I don't understand what the fuss is all about. Put aside for one second he's one of our better players and so obviously good for squad morale, and just looking at the post in isolation: He's clearly written this himself showing he gives two ****s, and is essentially saying we need to stick together. Aren't those two of the things loads of people on here have been braying about?

If he's not our best midfielder then who is?
-
Yeah imagine convincing them to take some of your dead weight off your hands...

'Basically the same' isn't really the same when you're talking about commute time though. Big difference.

Doesn't he live in Herts?

This is way, way down on the list of problems

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Release clause is there to favour the bidding club, that's the point of putting one in the contract from the player's point of view. Once it expires we have more leverage. -
They'll also quickly not want to play for the shirt if all they experience is drubbings and crowds on their backs.

Definitely agree, I just think it's worth remembering that we can also bring players in. The natural assumption is to look at who's leaving and forget we're stuck not with the leftovers -

Depends if we spend any of the money and who we bring in if so. I know we all like to shit on the higher-ups but even they must know Hamza, Skipp and Soumare + youth isn't up to snuff. -
Wout to Monaco (loan with ~€8m option, official)

I actually think he *is* good enough, at least for this season. He's clearly a net negative to have around the place though, at the very least: Bollocks fellow defenders after conceding goals/chances, including youngsters, often when he's culpable Twerked for a move on at least one occasion Given shit to the fans after scoring twice that I can remember, probably more (I don't mind this, he's human and entitled to give it back, but it doesn't help the relationship between club and fans overall) ... and he's not *so* good that he can do all this and get away with it -

Looking for one, happy to meet at the ground before. Cheers. -
Arrogant twat but our best CB at this level by a mile, unfortunately. Not sure I'd want him in there with Nelson though because my main gripe is that he blames everyone around him when stuff goes wrong. Watched him bollock Thomas, Kristiansen et al for 3 years and don't want him wrecking the confidence of another young player.

Dog muck but wages are too high so we're stuck with him for another 9 months

We won the league under Enzo. I'd snap your hand off for playoffs at this point.

Wow.

I'll back the manager but he has to be dragging at least a couple after this first half. Pathetic, tbh.
-
Incredible how bad he is in the air for someone his size

Cool heads as per

Winks will be on at half time I reckon. Can't be going over his head that everything is just bypassing centre midfield.

I'd just take 3 points to be honest. Nobody wants to be the team that embarasses themselves on opening day against a club with no players and it's pretty likely every most other teams are going to take 6 points off them this season.
