Swindells is an able backup and I hope he has a good future in the game. Ben Cox is lovely for us though. A super WK in div 2 and handy with the bat. Seems to be good man to have around the squad by all accounts too.

I dont think there is anything wrong with that captaincy. Derbyshire attempted to chase it so you can hardly say we judged the balance wrong. Bowling for a win is always tough (depending on the state of the pitch). Pitch seemed to play well. Good performance, for me.

Hamza is good in the Champ. No question. Ball winner but can also play right back. But. Big but. Depends on manager in situ. Genuinely think if its not RVN, or even if it is, it might be a reset, new brush sweeps clean situation. Also - what often gets ignored is what does the player want? Not just HC but others also? Good comms necessary and a rest required.

Dumb breeds dumb. If you're genuinely looking to gain insight from what, if you like it or not, is a corporate beast... Then look elsewhere. Looks of publically available records. And you have your own eyes for on-pitch stuff. Social media is its own animal. Run no doubt by social media people - not football people. I give it no attention at all. I do genuinely believe 2 things: 1) we are going down with a whimper. 2) Jamie Vardy will boss one game and get us a win/draw single handedly.

Good article. Largely under-rated bowler in the county game amongst those counties he hasn't played for. A huge boon for us if he can indeed pick up where he left off.

That doesn't look altogether terrible; but as has been hinted at, we do need some of our bits'n'pieces players who've had great seasons in the past to perform. I do wonder how much gas Wright has left but you can't leave him out if available. I'd say a good 8 of those pick themselves. Maybe 7 if it really just isn't spinning.

As has been said it is and will be increasingly moreso in future, a major cargo/freight airport. Point taken though; its a shame if you're local. I have to go to Dublin for work soon as was asked to select an airport from a fairly substantial list. Very little in the midlands!
