  1. I admit it. I fell for R Martin's brave new world. Full of hope and optimism after Tues evening. New signings coming in daily.
  2. Agree but Martin is hand picking players that he trusts to play his way. Both style and recruitment are linked by Martin and he can't grumble after bringing in a dozen new faces.
  3. Let's see if we concede more than we score after the transfer window closes. Only then can we say it's not working. Let Martin stand or fall with his signings.
  4. At least we aren't being totally dominated by their size
  5. The Don's are a big side out to physically dominate. Interesting how we stand up to it.
  6. Brilliant... Along with BSLB, its a real reality check, but nothing in life is all bad. Much better against Ipswich for a start. Kangasniem looks like a decent buy. If Skipp & Suter, maybe another 2 or 3 go, then it's a completely different team. You don't have to be Martin's style lover to appreciate that there is potentially a decent squad emerging out of the chaos. Unfair to expect one man to turn years of mismanagement around in a handful of games.
  7. Being positive/negative isn't really an option at our club right now, only the truth matters and that's what BSLB are Brilliant at. And the reality checks are needed, especially for us fans. The Charlie talk helped me see through a lot of bullshiz and mindless optimism.
  8. Great point. As city fans, It's only natural to feel let down by our downwards spiral, 10 years of bewilderment. But we did grow into a team the whole world talked about and thats still there, less prominent now but all was irreversibly changed when we won the premiership. Lashing out at a spoiled child who who didn’t dream his fathers dreams is as daft as not appreciating the impact of covid.
  9. Not wanting the cliff option but over optimism had a part in us bedwetting ourselves of the Championship.
  10. Key for me is the up and coming sale of LCFC and whilst team talk is fine there will be a huge upheaval if we reveal new owners.
  11. Am I missing something? Just glad that the club is continuing to exist. As a financial guy i think that we're still galloping down dyhrea alley on a headless chicken so to speak.
  12. Brilliant... He's here. He's in charge. Of a bunch of lazy cutns. Russell Martin, Russell Martin. He's here. He's in charge. etc etc
  13. I don’t remember much about that rainy evening, other than a happy memory that me and me mate still share from time to time.
  14. May end up like Justin and play a load better in a more structured team where his team mates will ground him properly. He's a really good raw talent right now and the last couple of years at LCFC haven't developed him at all.
  15. I'm a go to the games, back the lads, as are a few i meet there but the players are not earning their money. The hierarchy isn't earning their money. Top should be able to not over input into the running of LCFC. Thats where the problem is. Tops reluctance to hire and fire those he charges to run his club. 100's millions down he must see the problem. We want to go watch us play. We do not clap the players. We will not support KP until things drastically change. It is possible to watch players not earning their wages and have the Saturday out also. Logically we can see the problem so it's not a surprise we lose constantly, therefore it's not hugely upsetting more bewildering. LCFC will carry on this way until it can't and then it will change. The asset loss, the financial loss, the bad feeling will force the change. This horrible decline will carry on until it doesn't. The latest moon mission was forced by serious Chinese competition, not to better mankind. And so to KP will get out of LCFC when it is financially forced out, not for the fans sake. We will be there tonight, with 1000's of other fans, when really we know that the stands should be completely empty. But we are fans and fans will want to watch their football team play. And the KP regime will not force us to dislike LCFC.
  16. No offence I've been accused of this and its a bit annoying, no harm meant
  17. Yes but I don't think that you can link any of this shit show to the fans. If complicit is indirectly saying the fans are even a tiny fraction to blame you're wrong
  18. And it's not their fault. They my be complicit but it's not the fans who've f'd this club.
  19. Agree 👍 but I can also see the point made that we aren't a team put together to fight relegation. Bit like Tielemans who can win you a game but gives missing when you're in a scrap.
  20. I can remember being really shocked as Forest stuffed us, the reigning F A cup holders, at their place quite comfortably. Can remember thinking then that we had no fight and didn't really care as a team. That was the start for me.
  21. Think Thomas already plays football like he's boxing, his man marking is more physical holding than watching the ball.
  22. Tops not evil maybe he's entitled enough to be shielded from the harshness of some people's reality. Nepo baby. But don't for one minute think that his life will change if LCFC go under. He'll always have enough to not bother changing. He'll always have enough to not really care like we do. Chanting that Tops not here he's playing polo will make him think 'you've either got or you ain't and I have'.
  23. I'm suggesting that there's a link between most of our players and the way James Justin has spoken out about his last years at our club. Obvious i know but we have a lot of decent players in the wrong head space. Ayew's equaliser was a goal of real quality and we boo him like we boo'd Justin. It's not the fans fault that Justin played like a donkey for us, but it's probably not his either, he's a stand out player now.
