In fairness that was the looney owner who's response upon promotion was to do the equivalent of a trolley dash in a proven failed footballers Poundland! At one time, every third person you met in Nottingham was a Forest player! Not only did Cooper have some dross to coach he also had to keep about 40 players happy which can't have been easy.

Hmm, it's all downhill from here then 😖

JJ sticks out like a sore thumb in that team particularly in that position. Even in the Championship, particularly on the left he was an absolute liability. Forever giving the ball to the opposition, which will see us clinically punished in the Premiership and often seemingly confused with his positioning. Yes he has a bit of pace about him but that's absolutely pointless if you have the above problems. Admittedly he appears somewhat better on the right where to me he's a squad or cover player.
-
Can't blame him. I'm reluctant to go and I've got a season ticket 🤣🤣
-
And how many want to go again now?
-
Doubt we'd get the 15m for Kristiansen, not from Bologne anyway.
-
The thought of Top, Rudkin or Whelan doing any 'wooing' makes me feel quite queezy 🤢
-
They thought that they'd done that with deluded Brendan but he turned out to be a complete charlatan. An all round top manager, coach and all round person you suggest is ni on impossible I'd suggest. Even a good manager and good coach in one is difficult.
-
Absolutely and let's be honest, no 'humongous club' is going to be interested in him because he simply isn't that good!
-
Yes, saw something similar and in fairness he seems to maintain a decent attitude bearing in mind he was frozen out last season.
-
That sounds like a common sense approach, I really think you need to bring it to the attention of the club, they need all the help they can get otherwise we wouldn't be in this situation.
-
And the good news? Not saying I disagree but who's left?
-
It's become a farce now tbh. Take Villa, they do exceptionally well to get 4th spot yet didn't outwardly really overspend. Their prize is that they'll probably have to sell before competing in Europe. Chelsea on the other hand spend around 780m but will sell a couple of academy products like Gallagher and Chalobah to balance the books. We'll probably see the same with KDH because they're the most profitable sales. Gone are the days it seems that you'll see many of your own academy products in your teams future, they've just become a commodity for sale. Very sad. Yes, it's always been to some extent about money but the to whom and where now seems to be quite different. Meanwhile the product gets continually overhyped by the media and we continue to fall for it.

Whilst I agree, I doubt we'd be offered much more than 20m really.
-
For the right money if it helps our financial cause and staves a points deduction off together with the Enzo money he can go! He really isn't good enough compared to what they have already. Just media mischief I think.

I don't think it was his best season, by a long long way. Just think of the teams in the past he was linked to due to his performances, I can't think of any of them that would want him now if they had to pay for him. We don't need him and certainly not for the sort of wages he'd perhaps want. He's very much on the decline as is his playing time due to his now poor injury record. I think he's been brilliant for us, went missing at times last year which was previously unheard of and I think both parties need a change.
-
He shone somewhat dimly in a poor division, against inferior opposition, whilst playing with some of the best players in the division around him. He'd be like a fish out of water playing that same role in the Premiership.
-
I suppose it's difficult to know whether or why he downed tools, particularly with Rodgers as the manager at the time. Clearly something happened but we were never really privy as to what.
-
I don't know about Smith personally but I do understand what you're getting at. I do think that there are a number of last seasons Championship managers that could have at least equalled what he did in a different way.
-
I'd certainly do a swap back! Cags only started to look uncertain to me when Rodgers started playing him on the extreme left of three centre halves, particularly when he had to cover the left back position. A totally different player when part of a two, remember his performances with Evans doing the same? When brought back by Smith he did well again. Faes can only seem to play one half of football. After 65 minutes, even if he's been playing well, his concentration goes down hill quickly! He often, for me, has an aire of a player who believes that he's a lot better than he actually is and he becomes rash in his decision making and sometimes slow to get back as if it's all a bit below him. I think his trying to impress could cost us dearly in the Premiership against better players.
-
In the position he played under Maresca he'd be nowhere near good enough in the Premiership with better more astute defenders and midfielders. He's been a good servant but as well as him now being more injury prone, I think he's definitely in a downwards spiral.
-
I think there are a growing number of supporters that have been going for years that are increasingly unhappy about a number of things. It's not relegation either because they've been through that before over the many years. The deciding point eventially though is that compared with years ago, if you once give up your ticket you'll never get it back. History however shows that managers, owners and boards move on, the club remains, as do the generations of supporters.

His was free because they found his birth certificate, he's over 65.

Wow! That's come out of the blue!
