  1. Yet Gareth McCauley arguably went on to have a better career when he left us. In his prime he'd have done a better and more solid job than our lot at the back last year.
  2. I think if we're not careful we'll become a one trick pony. I don't think it's Vardy and Iheanacho because if we had prime Lineker or Shearer I think they'd be the same, it's more how they're being deployed. In the first half Vardy was so deep and even covering right back once! Most goals are scored percentage wise in the penalty area yet we rarely seemed to get the ball in there. Although I really rate Fatawu I got quite frustrated the amount of times he played the same ball from the right wing right over the penalty box towards Mavidivi on the opposite wing. Relying on tippy tappy runs into the box is fine but not all of the time as the opposition can quickly learn to frustrate it and did. For Christ's sake just mix it up a bit on occasions. Possible changes could have been on the wings ie Albrighton on and Fatawu on the left with plenty of balls fizzed into the box to make the opposition uncomfortable. Casadei was poor and I'd have even exchanged him for Iheanacho for a period with Vardy. If after 80 minutes it's blatantly obvious that we have little or no sense of being able to score then to not change things seems a little stubborn. However, the reality is 13 wins from 15 games nevertheless and I'mverymuch stilla Maresca fan. Premiership teams would soon suspect us out though. Pep, for example is always changing things. Whilst the Hull result was somewhat an unfortunate fluke I do think Leeds were deserved of their win and their play against us could serve as a decent blueprint for other managers to combat our style of play.
  3. Yes, I think you're right. However, he still seems to give the ball away cheaply and his positioning appears a little suspect.
  4. No, he's definitely our weak links at the moment. Squad player only now really I think.
  5. Aagghhhh!
  6. Even if many don't rate him he'd have been the lesser of two evils then, at least he'd have contributed more than merely sauntering round and giving the ball away.
  7. "Sorry, but one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Leicester shirt and a huge reason we went down".Sorry, but one of the worst players I've ever seen in a Leicester shirt and a huge reason we went down" Can't be right really can it, over the season the guy hardly played, I think there are far more guilty parties than him to point the finger at for going down, mainly the manager.
  8. But he, or anyone really should have replaced Tielemans at that time, who was lazy and totally gash. The few games under Smith showed a different Soumare to some extent. That was due to Rodgers mismanagement, in particular, trying to shoehorn him into midfield roles he wasn't suited to (a bit like Vestergaard, not played to his strengths). Soumare, a young player from abroad, perhaps didn't have the belligerent steel of Vestergaard or his experience and his mismanagement and omissions by Rodgers probably took their toll mentally and he just wanted out, I can't blame him.
  9. I'd doubt they'd raise anywhere near enough to finance it unfortunately.
  10. Sorry, my mistake, thought we were speaking about Ward.
  11. Can you see any of them matching his wages here? If not why would he go? Sorry, we're stuck with him.
  12. Attitude problems at Man City hence his move to Dortmund where he got fined for issues during covid and not turning up for training (got dropped). Now attitude problems at Manchester United. Even Southgate commented on his poor training with England. If he can't be motivated to fight for Manchester City, United and England, what makes you think he'd bust a gut here? Would Maresca with his training regime want him do you think? Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. We've only just managed to get rid of one lazy bugger in Tielemans, we don't want anyone with a hint of such attitude infecting our young squad.
  13. She said 'get up, you're embarrassing me and making a right tit of yourself '.
  14. £6m sounds a bit low for a release clause unless we've kept most of the initial payment back?
  15. Note the term 'driving through' as opposed to 'stopping', could be true? 😁
  16. We know that's not going to happen though realistically. 😕
  17. Definitely taken one for the team there.
  18. 'Bill and Ben the Ban Khao Tao Men!' Looks absolutely thrilled doesn't he, he's got to have taken some stick about that surely? (Team-mates just out of shot to his right rolling round on the floor). Can't wait to see Susan in her Little Weed outfit 🤣.
