Ex Players - They used to play for us
volpeazzurro replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
In fairness he's just not as good as the the others currently available whoever he played for. -
Just annoyingly paid £25 for my son's as mine is free. I resent every penny of it.
-
And that's just Rudkin!
-
No, it shows who the media are guessing we're looking at, occasionally popping in another random name to add a bit more intrigue and speculation.
-
Me too.
-
Thanks, I think I understand a bit better now 👍🏻

Are you just assuming that Roma are willing for Leicester to pay in 5 yearly installments? Or, are you just saying that it's only going to in real terms cost us 5.6m over each year to absorb? Even if it's the latter, with our current FFP issues, we arguably can't afford 28m up front for one single player, we're probably having to sell a main asset like KDH just to try and conform.
-
I suppose that the way he left PSV, partly due to alleged player revolt and complaints about his style of coaching must be a worry? There again he won a cup and came second in the League. Does anyone know what that was all about?
-
If Roma allegedly want 28m, in our current predicament, where's that all coming from for just one player? We need at least 4 depending on who stays or goes.
-
I think the whole saga is totally made up because there's not a hint of anything happening on the club site and they always keep us informed! 🤔

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Probably because of their extra exposure now in the Champions League? -
And that famous Dutch speaking manager McClaren?

I suppose there's more kudos and worldwide coverage sponsoring Liverpool than the likes of Villa or Leicester City? -

Really! They sound more and more disorganised and make it up as they go along by the minute! -

Can you say where you sourced that? As Everton were originally given a 10 points deduction prior to appeal that doesn't seem right does it. -
Well we appointed Enzo and the only previous job he had was a cock up! I'm not saying Cambiasso should be the manager but I don't think he's been idol since he retired. Arteta is doing well and I'm sure that there are a number of first time managers over the years that have done good things. Cambiasso has after all played under and with some of the best in the world. We all witnessed his professionalism and persona here when on the pitch. I'd far sooner back him than some of the names in the betting!

Whilst I don't necessarily disagree, Top comes over as a bit of a pudding sometimes and I just can't see it happening. Sometimes a good CEO has to recognise the things he doesn't know and find the right people that do. I suppose the difficulty is that football is nothing like any other business.
-
My understanding was that was Vardy's initial feelings but he eventually bought into his approach which was after all, the right one. However, as Vardy isn't currently a player he doesn't come into the equation. Cambiasso is extremely doubtful and very left field but I'd sooner it be him than a good number of the others in the betting like Marsch, Wagner, Parker and Southgate etc!

Xavi or Zidane?

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Think your incomings are very optimistic. KDH - 20m Iversen - 1.5m Thomas - (isn't he out of contract this summer? ) Hamza - 3m Nelson - keep. We can use him and he's going to be worth a lot more in the future but certainly not 5m now. Mcateer - 2m = 26.5 -
Oh, that's not too bad then if as reported we'd be getting 10m from Chelsea.
-
Would be happy for this but in our position financially, I think his contract until the summer of 2027 may be a stumbling block? I forsee the club's target only being a currently out of contract manager sadly.
-
You do realise he was only 21 in December and since he left us has had a full season and played European football? He was used sporadically and questionably by our previous dunderhead of a manager in an allegedly poisonous atmosphere for him due to the prevailing player cliques at the time, hardly a setting to thrive. Under the right manager I think he'd come good and increase in value quickly. We certainly haven't got a better more traditional left back. Doubt he'd want to be here though sadly after his previous experience. At 21yrs it would take some great footballing insight to right him off so quickly. KDH would be well gone.

Who do you want for next season in the PL
volpeazzurro replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
KDH who's 25yrs and I think has hit his ceiling playing and value wise. Won't find it as easy to be an influence in the Championship albeit his effort is faultless. Think he'll want out too. Mads on the other hand at 23yrs is different, very young in goalkeeping terms. Just started and adapted to English football and has far more of a ceiling potential and future value wise.
