It isn't this point though.

He plays better when we boo him I reckon.

That's sk1, plenty of protest chants but it's a small number in truth.

All correct from what Robbins has said today. Essentially the Cabinet Office wanted the appointment and applied pressure to ensure it happened. Any risks were brushed aside. Reckon this whole saga is Morgan McSweeney and Starmer went along with it. Other interesting this was they were hunting for a position for Matthew Doyle. They had to settle for a peerage in the end, unfortunately he currently has the whip withdrawn due to his associations with a sex offender.

Cummings was a SpAd like Mcsweeney, not an Ambassador or Civil Servant. They are all vetted dependant on their level of access to information. Probably both Cummings and McSweeney had full DV vetting due to their access to Top Secret information. I heard yesterday that this was the 3/4 time an Ambassador had been selected in this way in the past 30 years. It was fairly unusual but not unheard of. Chucking the Civil Servant under the bus is very very unusual though. Particularly if he is truthful at present, he will be getting a fat pay-off. Oliver Robbins is coming accross very well to be honest, considerably more professional than the people that have sacked him. Well done to the right wing MSM for showing how the Cabinet Office have been behaving. In this, the Guardian investigations and reporting has been excellent thus far.

Morgan McSweeney sounds like a right scumbag in fairness. SKS sold his soul to the devil bringing him and and giving him any power.
-
Can we promote him JR style? He has done such a good job as PM he deserves a promotion into a role more befit of his skills that will take him away from the day to day responsibilities of being in charge of anything.
-
If he goes and he does come accross particularly badly at times, I would make him Foreign Secretary I think.
-
I'd rather he stayed at this point in time.
-
Im sure the tax-payer funded pay-off, he will no doubt be due, will be well spent. Plenty more tax-payers cash where that came from!
-
Robbins has confirmed the failed vetting had nothing to do with Epstein.... His letter does not reflect well on the Cabinet Office's decision making.

Im only reading the guradians ticker, but Starmer is getting hammered, even Thornberry is having a go.

I admire this level of commitment albeit there are no saucers. I can't help but feel a doily would have worked. Fans settling for single use cups are the ones that need to look at themselves in the mirror IMO.

I read this story in the Guardian, its the same one. Talks of free electricity but also potential for blackouts.

They are very effective at ensuring the bars close in good order however, often while the machines are still on and people are still ordering. -
Plenty of chargers, they are wholly unreliable is the main issue IMO.

So using less is good? Which is what we are doing?

Hands up. No idea. To someone cleverer than me it may mean something. No gaslighting here, I think I'm just a bit thick.

I'm not sure I understand any of what you have written but then I've never been a (word) salad fan. I prefer to look at what is actually being done towards decarbonisation which I'm this country is a great deal. If you have any real or practical ideas to discuss then I'm happy to engage.

It may indeed show that. Which is why I try to absorb a variety of media. Perhaps @CornwallFox has not had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with ZP latest opinions or perhaps I have misunderstood how the green party chooses it's policies hence our previous discussions about what is or is not GP policy. As someone that is broadly supportive of a practical, achievable and non performative environmental energy policy I am always keen to learn. I have learnt it's easier to talk about it than actually do anything to be honest.
-
Presumably you mean 2024? where zp said “Let’s go further and remove all animals involved in sport” I suppose you could argue that the opinions of the leader are not reflective or party policy in the same way that old but live documents from the GP website aren't? All guesswork for the electorate or mean underhandedness from the media I'm never sure?

Also allows us to export to them as well. We have had years recently where we have been a net exporter when Frances aging nuclear plants were down. It's a real shame that Labour have cancelled the Morocco interconnector project, I thought that was a very clever piece of thinking albeit relying on undersea cables at present is a worry.
