  1. The argument is that the parachute payments are high enough combined with your own salary reductions, sales and general acumen/prudence that it should be fine. The parachute payments are £45m on top of the championship TV deal, so the clubs should be able to cope.
  2. I've only seen him against us and he didn't stand out particularly, though its probably harsh as score aside we took them apart in the away fixture. If Leeds are still in the Champ next year then no doubt he will be nominated again. I thought Jordan James did well against us and Jonny Rowes record is excellent. Fatawu is up there as one of the best in Europe for chances created. Gray doesn't get a sniff this season for me.
  3. Plus the tv rights for each round and less any appearances bonuses the players get.
  4. Has Gray done much yet? 2 assists and no goals isn't POTY material even if he has just turned 18.
  5. Hard to justify how Enzo and Fatawu don't make that shortlist. Enzo has a win % here of nearly 70% and has 60 games as a professional manager. Its an incredible record.
  6. We did the same approach under Pearson and Walsh. I suspect our blueprint is now being replicated elsewhere.
  7. Should have carried on spending and just taken the points deduction IMO.
  8. I still reckon they are claiming to be within the rules by allocating £200m in allowable losses to COVID, women's football, training ground investments and youth development. I reckon 3 years ago, they didn't think these claims would be overly scrutinised and will now be in an argument over reasonable losses with the PL.
  9. Is it that odd? We all know Cambiasso was the manager for the great escape so its safe to assume that yesterdays win was all down to the fans and the players ignoring the manager.
  10. Its essentially obstruction but I think its removed as a specific law of the game so is now just a 'foul'. VAR would overturn that assuming its not one of the big 6 doing it.
  11. So they should. You get a much better view of the goals in that video. Who is going to pay for Sky or LCFC subscriptions if someone in the crowd does a better job for free?
  12. It's the civil service. They probably print them, retype them on a special typewriter then scan them in.
  13. On distribution, it has moved to DIRFT near lutterworth. It is part of the councils future jobs strategy to ensure that the county remains a transport hub for the country.
  14. I'd also say it's time to go back to starting Daka and benching vardy. Our best performances have come when Daka starts. Give vardy 20 mins off the bench.
  15. If we are short on 8s, then he ought to consider playing Ian at 10. I think it's also time to consider albrighton on the right and fatawu on the left. He has got to try something that makes us less predictable.
  16. £20k+ PW was the rumoured figure.
  17. Great for owners though. 20% profit leaving the club to shareholders? What can possibly go wrong with that
  18. I think the whole chain of these are in blaby already.
  19. We have done cruises from Southampton. We went on the Fjords, baltics, portugal/spain and northern europe all without flying, its an ideal trip with the baby as every thing is done for you plus there is the creche on board. He is nearly 2.5 and are starting to travel properly again now.

    Houses

Probably true. I compare the interest I pay to rent. The rest I pay is cash-back. For most people even those that don't think about it, your interest will always be less than rent would be.

    Houses

You don't make profit doing one any more thats for sure. But for many its better than moving. I think lots of people treat their home as a financially modular investment. So you buy it on your current salary. Once you earn more you take on more debt and extend. Even though you don't invest £100k to instantly gain £150k like you used to, it still stacks up. Its ruined the Homes under the hammer, buy, flip sell market though.

    Houses

There is an order of scale. The big house builders are building 2-3 bed houses for around £150k plus the land and professional fees. But they will be ordering 5000 kitchens a year not 2-3 so their price structure is quite different to a small builder. £120k is certainly the market rate at the moment.
  23. Disproportionate collapse was added to the Building Regulations after the Ronan Point collapse. As you have identified, certain events ie planes crashing into buildings, big f*** off ships crashing into piers means a collapse is considered reasonable. Whereas a small speedboat causing the collapse would not be considered reasonable.
  24. In fairness, its what the club has known for a long time and deviated from under Rodgers. The only way to grow is to sell players to increase your turnover. You can increase commercial revenues with the stadium build etc, but its not going to raise £50m a season straight away. I believe the purpose of Seagrave was to increase the revenues from developing players which is hugely hindered if the big 6 can poach 16 year olds before they have reached a reasonable value. I don't have an issue with PSR as such except that the other rules about poaching players etc are not harsh enough to make them work. If Liverpool knew that they would be paying £5m up front for Nyoni with a further £25m in add-ons to reflect his value had they signed him from Leicester as a first teamer at 21 then clubs like ours would be better protected from being asset stripped then penalised for not having enough assets to sell to raise revenue.
  25. £2.8m loss is a fair chunk and I would guess we are applying other costs from the mens side ie use of Seagrave on occasions, sharing of coaches etc. I don't follow the Womens team, but there is now a load of international players in the side now, so I suspect that has gone up considerably.
