Serious debate only please!

Don't even get me started on teachers with all those holidays!

Here's a list of all notable music acts coming to Leicester in the next 12 months.... .

Nah, Steve is a nightmare. Always late for work, divorced five times (the mystery is how did he get married 5 times?), drives a Landrover (even though he doesn't live on a farm; he lives in a studio apartment 500m from work), pays support for 8 children who he rarely sees, as he feels uncomfortable being seen on council estates. In the draw of his desk at work is a tube of UHU to help get him through the day. Police have taken his laptop pending a court appearance and his last three PAs have resigned because he would stand behind their desk stroking their hair. At the end of the day he drives 200m to a back street pub for the happy hour and drinks Fosters with Bells chasers, though on a good day he might have a sex on the beach if he sees a nice young lady he can bother. Then he orders a Deliveroo from one of the takeaway restaurants he drives past on the way home. Steve thinks he's a prize catch, on account of his job and the money he earns.

And an evening bigger crime was The X Factor.

In my experience, if there's one thing rich people love, it's a freebie!

Keep at it mate. Took me three goes and a lot of support from my parents. Maybe if you could just find a small job that's a few hours a week just to pay for the lessons (seriously, once the basics are there it's just familiarisation, experience and confidence you need, that can only come with time behind the wheel)? Right time of year for it. In the run in to Christmas (with the stupid way the West runs an economy that bottle necks much of its income into one day of the year for something that most people don't actually believe ) there's lots of temp jobs requiring little to no experience. Yes, they're usually tedious (at best) but the great thing as I said, temporary. Just an idea.

Spot on. This is kind of inverse of that but also parallel... When I was at my lowest, I felt like I couldn't do anything, and all the time I knew it was stupid, cos I knew that every day ordinary people were doing things I felt I couldn't do, many with less knowledge or experience than I had, but they just did it even though they might have little understanding. I often see people blissfully waltzing through life with little knowledge of how it all works. Given, these people often are a source of exasperation for others, but it shows that by and by people get by, regardless. Usually - sometimes a series of bad events can completely derail a person. To @chrishlcfc earlier, aside from all the other good advice earlier, you indicated that maybe you feel like a burden to your parents at home, but maybe helping out with chores and stuff will show your appreciation of their care for you. If you already do - great, maybe you can do a bit more? It keeps you active and provides a feeling of self-worth and value. Can I also suggest prioritising learning to drive? Cos you mentioned getting a job and if you can drive then a) opens up jobs involving driving, of which there are many and b) jobs further afield or in areas not well covered by public transport. All the best lovely people!

Two sausages, two bacon, two eggs, baked beans, mushrooms and two hash browns. White or brown toast?

Can we change the title of this thread to "Your Previous Pint"? "Your Last Pint" sounds so... terminal.

Aye, I have 3 epic ships (Raider, C-roc and Gozanti) and looking to use the epic battles set to do a huge game with 4-6 players. Could be chaos.

New Fontaines DC album, Romance. Very different sound, much more produced. Not sure about it, I like rough edges.
-
X-wing - recently discontinued and abandoned. I have loads of boardgames and I have started painting a few of the miniatures. The cyclists in Flame Rouge and the firefighters in Flash Point so far. Next project is the ships in Black Fleet. I bought Risk Legacy years ago and looks like I might get round to it soon (needs a regular group of players to commit to 15 games).

But what if they realise that and so decide not to sack him at all? Or better yet, he turns it all around, gets us into a Champions League position and THEN they sack him. Genius!
-
You just know if he was on Celebrity MasterChef he'd put too many eggs in the pudding.

About to post the same thing. Was watching in a pub 100 miles away from Manchester and a bunch of lads in Man City tops and no hint of a Manx accent didn't have a clue when I referred to their (the players) behaviour. They thought it was perfectly standard.

Let's test this... Roald Dahl is a massive antisemite and Shakin' Stevens was the rock n roll equivalent of a month old white dog turd.
-
Lots of swedes? Everyone is a vegetable? Gone to pot? Piles of manure? Not sure what you mean.
-
Is now the time to inform people about camel spiders? Not even spiders... but kind of worse?
-
Well this has been an opportunity missed.

3 hrs 33 mins to get this done

Gerrimin!

He's getting sacked in the morning?
