I think you can go through life being a dick and not caring, never worrying about anything or anyone, or you can be aware of what's really happening and be concerned, which will naturally lead to anxiety. In which case, I'd rather be anxious. Ironically @SecretPro I too have been in my job 20 years, slowly going downhill for the past 10 (not me especially, the whole company) and I can't see my job role continuing more than a couple of years. Personally think the company will be defunct within 10 years. I certainly don't want to do it anymore and if voluntary redundancy came up I'd bite their hand off.
