it depends on by what level you measure ‘ sustainable’ though really. In the grand scheme of things and when measured against the scale of war that is going on in Ukraine, it’s nothing . It’s more than tolerable. And if anything, moving those residents away allows Israel to avoid a full scale conflict which is what they want to do. At this present moment.
I have long thought that once Hamas has been taken care of, they will turn their attention to Hezbollah, and whilst you ( and me) have every right to be cyclical and say Netanyahu is just trying to prolong the way for his own political career, I feel like ‘ dealing’ with Hezbollah is probably the right thing to do.
Israeli’s will point to October 7th as to why it would be unwise to leave an ‘ enemy’ simmering away on their door step.
whilst I have a lot of sympathy with the Palestinians, I have much less for Hezbollah who are able to travel freely in and out of Lebanon and beyond and can not claim to have the same beef with the Israelis as to what Hamas does. Even if Hamas does have alterior motives.
Once Hamas is dealt with, Israel will launch a full scale aerial war , I think.
