I guess my point in saying all that is that a lot of the Americans i meet are very very kind people, hospitable and unintentionally very funny, even if i don't understand them at all.
-
They do. They really do. I do not like Trump in the slightest. I just cant vote for someone like him. Ever. I could explain more about what i hear people say about him, but there's probably no need. also, i don't want it to be taken as me supporting him or liking him, my only intention was to explain WHY people vote for him. Even if it doesn't make sense to me. I will just add though that i don't think people understand the cultural difference between an American and a British person. Or at least some of them. Often people with rationale the fact that British settlers came to the United states, we speak the same language and we dress somewhat similar so we must be the same and feel very very exasperated when they dont understand how or why Americans do things. Or the way they do things or the way they even think. Yet if you look at a Country like Saudi Arabia which is much more stricter socially, where a woman has only just been allowed to drive a car be herself, where a woman isn't even allowed to be in a car with another man who isn't a relative or spouse.. I don't think that invokes the same level of confusion or exasperation in people, we seem more easily perhaps subconsciously ready to accept the differences between a Saudi and us even if we know that what they are doing is ' more morally wrong'. I guess I'm saying that i have arrived at a place where i understand that culturally ( some) Americans are very different to me and i have somewhat.. lowered my expectations? and i completely understand that a lot of British people just haven't arrived at the same level of understanding/ acceptance that have and are more determined to keep americans accountable up to their own moral compass. but i am NOT saying British people are wrong for that. I'm hoping this monologue at least comes across as coherent. even if you don't agree with the sentiments/ logic behind it.. Maybe i'm looking into things to deeply?

im wondering if we are waiting until we can secure a replacement ourselves..

I know.. i know.... And i have questioned this and the reply that comes back to me is that they prefer each state to make their own laws rather than most laws to be done federally as they say to me that this would be more in line with the constitution. They believe Trump would support that. They say things like the Constitution of the United States divides the federal government into three branches. Legislative, executive and judicial. This ensures that no individual or group will have too much power, apparently. They are against the central federal government having all the power. This is partly why some people vote for a federal abortion ban , for example who might not be 100% against abortion. They want that power and decision make devolved down to the individual state. They feel this is a fundamental principle that is very important to them. and i Do see some of their points in that - the USA is such a massive country that there are some very culturally diverse states. I live in North Carolina, and even that is bigger than England. and there's 48 mainland states of course and North Carolina isn't anywhere near the biggest state at all.. Northern states can be very different to some of the southern States, hence the desire for people to see the power devolved down to state level. That's really just an example. sorry at work.

from what I can see from some of those around me here in North Carolina, it’s going to increase his vote. I know quite a few independents and Libertarians who are saying they will now vote for him, Not because they like Trump or support him, but because they see this as politically motivated and government overreach. Please don’t mistake this comment as agreeing with them but people have to really understand the mindset of some Americans and the cultural differences - their constitution plays a massive part in their lives and thinking/ foundation and they see that the government as administrative only and the police as Authoritative and should be more ‘ protect and serve’. They believe, because of the constitution that ‘ we the people’ are the government. it’s all very mind boggling to me, and I live here! The irony of what they say, when voting for Trump is lost on them. in short, they see this as politically motivated and feel this is a sign the current government is getting too big and that’s enough for them to want to vote out the democrats wether they like them or not. So in England , we would see this massive increase in vote for ‘ Donald Trump’ and we would see it as an increase in his fan base, but it’s not that at all, there’s other factors that they would see as more important that would motivate them to vote for someone.of course, the media will show the MAGA hats and the crazies in the same breath as talking about the increase in ‘Trump support’ and there soon becomes a situation where those outside of America believe everyone who votes for trump likes him, and that isn’t the case. anyway, this probably comes across as an incoherent rambling that doesn’t make much sense and that’s exactly what it is because I’m trying to get ready for work

if we could play counter attacking football, I’d pick him over Harry Winks to sit in front of the defense… but I’m not sure we’ll be doing that, unfortunately..
-
WHAT. Lynch him! no seriously, it’s time for him to move on anyway. I respect the fact he at least tried to give it a go as a number 8 last year when he clearly wasn’t one. according to this he was earning 50k a week in the champ ( relegation wage reduction clause) and about 80k in the prem which I’m a bit meh about. Could have been worse.. https://salarysport.com/football/player/wilfred-ndidi/

It’s Like Just Eat, Uber Eats, DoorDash.. that kind of thing. An app that even independent restaurants can sign up to and you can order takeaway and get it delivered to your home..

Interesting development- Biden has now given Ukraine permission to use American made weapons INSIDE of Russian boundaries. In short, I think this means weapons dumps and military targets can be attacked to try and help the slow down of recent Russian Advances.

That I can qualify for GrubHub+ for free with my Amazon Prime membership ( might be U.S only)

I don’t think you’ll. Be getting anything from this deal, sorry!

I will also add that this is not a ‘ Tippy tappy” kind of footballer. I can only imagine we have an idea of what direction we are going in. The alternative is that we have people in charge that haven’t got a scooby at what they are doing…. There can be no inbetween if we are targeting this kind of player..

and then try and say we “ can’t afford “ the agreed fee and offer them 50k? I like it!

i think it’s probably the other way round. Sit him in front of the back 4 and put a wooly hat on him on the cold days and he might stay.. he’s just not a no. 8. i reckon we have a couple trying to hang on and see who the new manager is..

and then he has the nerve to make the judge WAIT whilst he parks

Something a little bit more lighthearted Man who has a suspended license calls into his zoom meeting with his judge whilst driving…

I’m amazed after everything that’s has happened that there are still people who think Russia have any ‘ good faith’ intention to negotiate and will even abide by/ honor any deal. i’d love to know what people know that suggests they’ll respect Ukrainian sovereignty in any way at all in any such deal?

he might not even get 100% control over team selection but it’s amazing how a double your money contract can soften the blow of things like that.
