Chelsea situation is an odd once. They basically have to find a manager who won’t have much say in transfers and will also have to take some interference on team selection. , according to recent reports. I’d be surprised if Maresca is that kind of person. But it’s Chelsea. He could make more there in a year than 2-3 years with us.. then the bonuses for getting into European competition would be huge and the prestige.. Im hoping he’s principled enough to want to run the team his way and get the players he wants and he has a bit more chance to do that with us, with this contract negotiation going on…

I obviously don’t mean every day decisions… but if a team feels like the missed out on a cup or promotion/ relegation due to a very bad decision, I feel like we are in the age where teams will demand compensation for such a big and important mistake..

to some extent, but with the open and very public scrutiny, due to their decision making made public on a step by step basis with VAR, there’s a far greater level of accountability for their actions. there are less mistakes with VAR. period. and if the finances are all relative to the country, why are world stars not flocking to Sweden but coming to the prem?

there’s probably twenty fold the amount of money in the prem than in Sweden so I’d imagine the stakes are much higher, here…

There’s too much money in football to scrap VAR now. Before VAR refereeing decisions were found to be 86% accurate, since VAR was introduced, Refereeing decisions are now 97% accurate( or something very similar!) My main concern is that, legally, it could get very messy without VAR with clubs suing for bad decisions or demanding games are replayed. Plus, referees are more open to corruption and taking payments without VAR. I wish we had never gone down this road, but I don’t see how we can go back…

Early optimism is being deflated at Ipswich. McKenna is going to refuse a new contract and is keen on a move now whilst his stock is high. had an Ipswich lad on Facebook tell me they were nailed on top 5 in the prem this season and fight to win it the season after. id love to have a chat with him about this..
