Fifa to explore impact of moving domestic matches abroad
MPH replied to Langley's topic in Leicester City Forum
I suppose the potential for a great holiday to watch your team play abroad could be appealing. personally, I wish people would stop trying to fix things that are not broken.. -
Not sure how i feel about this... potentially a large damage to local wildlife and habitats.... but what's the alternative? Angela Rayner has announced that sites for new "towns of the future" will be unveiled by the end of a Labour government's first year in power. Labour's deputy leader and shadow housing secretary said creating new towns was a key part of her party's plan to build 1.5 million homes over five years. Ms Rayner hopes the private sector will be persuaded to fund the new towns, which will have to include 40% affordable housing. But Conservative Party Chairman Richard Holden said Labour had failed to build any new towns during its last term in office. With planning permission for new homes falling to a record low last year, Ms Rayner has also pledged to reintroduce housing targets in England and reform the planning system. The National Housing Federation says local objections "remain a significant barrier" to new housing developments.

I’d be mad if I was a season ticket holder and one of my games I thought I had paid for got moved to overseas.. -
When i was a kid i dreamt that my family raised the money to buy Gary Lineker and that instead of signing for Everton, he came to live with us instead. He was very impressed that i knew a Woodlouse was a type of Isopod.
-
I wanted him to do well. I wanted to sign him. It could be more of a case of redistributing the funds than not actually wanting him as i'd imagine we need a starting 8 and its hard to put our trust in him to start in the prem if he wasn't a regular in the champ. He could have been a good squad option if we were not having to be careful with our finances.

By England international standards, you have to have been pretty doggo to not make the 33 man initial squad...

That has to be some pretty severe air turbulence... One person has died and several others injured on a Singapore Airlines flight from London that was hit by severe turbulence. The Singapore-bound Boeing 777-300ER was diverted to Bangkok and landed at 15:45 local (08:45 GMT). Flight tracking data suggests the airliner dropped 6,000 feet (2,000m) in a matter of minutes after crossing the Bay of Bengal. Flight SQ 321 was carrying a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew, the airline said in a statement. "Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased," it said. The airline added that it was working with Thai authorities to provide medical assistance to passengers, and was sending a team to Bangkok to provide any additional help needed. Thai authorities have despatched ambulances and emergency teams to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Singapore's Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat said the government would provide assistance to the passengers and their families. "I am deeply saddened to learn about the incident onboard Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 from London Heathrow to Singapore," he posted in a statement on Facebook. Flight turbulence increasing as planet heats up - study What happened on board the flight is still unclear. One passenger told Reuters news agency that the aircraft suddenly started "tilting up and there was shaking". "So I started bracing for what was happening, and very suddenly there was a very dramatic drop so everyone seated and not wearing seatbelt was launched immediately into the ceiling," 28-year-old student Dzafran Azmir said. "Some people hit their heads on the baggage cabins overhead and dented it, they hit the places where lights and masks are and broke straight through it." Turbulence is most commonly caused by aircraft flying through cloud but there is also "clear air" turbulence which is not visible on a jet's weather radar nor is it possible to predict. “Injuries from severe turbulence are relatively rare in the context of millions of flights operated. "However, severe turbulence can be dramatic and lead to severe injuries or sadly in this case a fatality," aviation expert John Strickland told the BBC. Flight crews are also trained in how to respond to turbulence, he added. "It is not for nothing that airlines recommend keeping seat belts loosely fastened throughout a flight be it long or short," he added. Research has shown that climate change will make severe turbulence more likely in the future. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8889d7x8j4o

We are rumoured to be after a left sided CB

The U.S offered its condolences in the same breath as saying he had blood on his hands. They probably felt obligated to do so as he was technically a democratically elected leader?

Coady is a classic case of a club signing that the manager didnt fancy... I feel like Enzo sent out a message by not playing him..
-
That's some Marty McFly vision right there...
-
Think he's been offered a new deal but i wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to be kicked to the sidelines like our last season in the prem.. He hasnt signed it yet..
-
its not helpful to define his suitability for the prem with this phrase. you could say the same about a sunday league player, but you still wouldn't start him in the prem..
-
you make it sound like he was a regular prem defender at a top club before he joined us! Yet, he had only played 61 games for stoke in a 7 year period. His biggest season was 19-20 , playing 45 ganes for Fleetwood Town. Other than that, he splayed for Dundee and Ross County. Hardly the stellar career for the person you are making him out to be..
-
He could go to a relegated team - they are about the only ones in the champ who would be able to subsidize most of his wages. possibly Ipswich?
-
It would have to be, really...
-
i'd imagine this guy is plan B. or at least, has some pace on him for the games we need to play counter- attacking. he'd be quite the unit to lay it off to the wingers..
-
Danny Ward definitely needs some games under his belt... letting himself go a bit...
