Days of owning rentals are a bit dead, I'd say cash in and put the money where you can achieve a better yield (plenty at more than 5%). Not sure on your capital gains position and how long you've held it but also something to consider. There are plenty of ways to make money without the faff of owning property.

Not suggesting Economic growth isn't positive, I'm just stressing that current inflation levels and tax rises will be making the cost of living worse for mid to low earners.

Inflation is more of a concern than whether the economy is predicted to grow 0.8% or 1%. That's what will hit everyone's back pocket, and keep interest rates higher which will keep mortgage rates up etc etc etc

Yes, with the caveat inflation is the highest in the G7 so will make the working person feel poorer than they were the prior year. Just look at M&S Christmas food prices!
