We did it on our old house and moved out to parents as was just not practical to live there over the winter - it is really stressful and we had a 2yr old at the time, it is worth it in the end which I heard on loop throughout, you ALWAYS spend way more than you think. I think we budgeted 50k and spent 75k, that was 5 years ago so not sure what things would cost now, probably eye watering - key is to have a good black book, pay cash (sorry HMRC) and cut back on fancy stuff you’re Mrs is likely to suggest when you are finishing it off.

Not angry about anything - I think free breakfast clubs for the masses is a daft way to spend government money. so someone who earns £250k has the same access to a free breakfast club as someone who is on universal credit? It’s just stupid.

It should be “free” to those who are on some kind of benefit, not the whole population. Completely daft use of government money.

Last time I checked it was a parental responsibility to give your kids breakfast? FREE breakfast clubs aren’t free, they are funded by the taxpayer and an inefficient way and more costly than just giving your kids a round of toast a bowl of cereal. it’s effectively early morning free childcare and nothing to do with breakfast. State dependence. Put the extra money it’s costing into improving schools, or pay teachers and TA’s a better wage.

Most people do own a private pension though - you have to opt out of one now since the rules changed quite a few years back. So whilst you might not be sitting on a tonne of private stock it will be tied up in your private pension fund.

We've drawn a lot of games...suggesting we aren't potent in attack, its captain obvious but if we had a cpl of capable strikers we would be in the top 2 probably. You can argue whether Nelson should play, or Ricardo isn't playing enough, or Vesty is too slow but we can't put the ball in the back of the net - so all those prior points are just mute. As a fan base we circle like vultures and see the likes of Soumare, or Faes as the issue week in week out - if we were putting the ball in the back of the net they wouldn't even get mentioned.
