  1. He’ll get 5 minutes at most and will be brought on for Mav whilst Ayew ambles about for 90 minutes.
  2. You mean a Vardy penalty I take it?
  3. You could say that - you could also say that it’s not given he offered very little despite being kept on for the whole game. What is perplexing is Cooper persisting with attacking with one winger inverting and that sides full back pushing high up today. Does he really think we’ll have any serious amount of possession today to that - and even if we did, would we want our full back bombing on leaving space down a flank for a centrehalf to cover.
  4. There ain’t much about us that leads to calling him to stay though. The key question you have to ask yourself - are Steve Cooper’s decisions helping or hindering us as a side? This squad is decent - it’s certainly capable of a lot more than what Cooper’s getting out of it.
  5. 😂😂😂 Of course you take off Mav! The guys a clown 🤡
  6. Cooper wasting his permitted changes with single substitutions again I see. Mean how he’s not seen that Ayew has been a passenger… not just in this game but pretty much ever game he’s played for us, is beyond me.
  7. Perhaps the only part of our game plan that’s looked ok this season - set pieces - which is not being coached by Cooper!
  8. Who said Okoli was having a good game? DCL is absolutely schooling him!
  9. I sense we’re witnessing the slow death of Steve Cooper’s managerial reign. Everton to get a second soon.
  10. No-one’s played well - judging any player in this mess is silly.
  11. Wasted change for me - the weather’s having an impact to the extent going two up top has to be the move.
  12. Hopefulluy El Kid calms down a bit this half - seemed to be trying to do too much first period.
  13. I’m getting a lot done via this game - first bringing the washing in before the rain and now the small delay made me think I might as well pop in the replacement bulbs I bought this morning. Productive!
  14. My gosh, a rain delay! That’s just… cricket!
  15. All of you suggesting substitutions - whilst cases can be made - the more pressing issue is shape, structure and game plan. Even just going straight 442 would see a massive improvement.
  16. Even Rodgers wouldn’t have picked this dross.
  17. Well one positive - spotting the rain on the stream gave me prior warning to bring my washing in - small wins and all that!
  18. We don’t seem to have any idea what we’re meant to do with the ball.
  19. Don’t refresh too hard
  20. Fair to say we look shite so far.
  21. Right then, let’s have em’!
  22. That ship has sailed, there’s little point in dwelling on what might have been - even if it was true. And like with the debate with Cooper’s position - I don’t see him lasting much longer. He’s making enemies with the wrong players, you can tell the players are trying for him but have yet to be convinced by his tactics / training methods - and this sort of atmosphere will be filtering through to board level already. BUT - it’s too early for the club to make what looks like an inevitable decision. If the next two games go badly - the club might bite the bullet then, but even that’s probably a little bit premature to be seen as a ‘serious club.’ So they may need to sit through three further games up to the November international break and then go, “ok - it’s not worked out” at that stage. Of course, if we somehow spring 10-15 points from those games, Cooper stays a little longer - but he’s not getting past 18 months at most with us, no way! The weird question for fans, however, has to be how we want the next run of games to go - knowing that a middling 6-8 points probably sees Cooper in charge up to at least Christmas (the fixtures look much tougher on paper after November). You know, if given the option - would you want bad results against our direct relegation rivals now so Cooper is gone ASAP? Or is it better that we do alright in those games - meaning we don’t lose ground but he survives for a bit longer. The other factor in this is at what point does sacking him give you the best options in terms of appointing a replacement.
  23. The problem I have with drawing the line on the wide angle shot is that camera angle and the problem with depth perception on a 2D image makes it very difficult to be conclusive on where Justin’s foot is in relation to the pitch. Consider if they drew an identical downward line from Justin’s heel - there would be quite a difference - so much so, it’s like suggesting he has size 27 boots on. Mean even the suggested ‘margin’ that Mateta is onside by feels dubious to the eye.
  24. Meanwhile our managers former team is winning at Anfield - hmmmm! 🤔
