Who have India chosen to play in the final? -
It would be more worthwhile, revenue-wise, for it to happen at that level rather than the Premier League which didn't need it. But it should never happen. If successful it would distort everything and the principle of it is totally wrong.

So, basically, Gary Lineker should stick to politics? -
He didn't actually say which Enzo it was. And it was only a "version" anyway.

Not a chance he goes there.

Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)
Corky replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
If Leicester sold Ben Nelson and Will Alves for £15 million each right now you would wonder what is going on. Leaving aside the fact that Academy players should be the future of the club, now reduced to bring the most profitable assets, they are just not worth that money. Also, they should not have the burden of the price tag over them at that age and experience. The whole thing is ridiculous. -

It is a nonsense. I don't blame the clubs for exploiting it but if the players were out of contract and it went to tribunal, you would probably receive £2 million max. -

It is definitely the performance this time. Drawing with Denmark is no disgrace, they have been an awkward opponent over the years and Kasper usually has a blinder in these games, often against worse sides than this one. The stats are damning. We create so little. That is unacceptable. -
I believe that if they came out, admitted the failings and properly vowed to put things right, fans would give them another chance. That doesn't appear likely so what are we to do? Quite happy to take all the adulation when it goes well but none of the criticism when it doesn't.

I wasn't at the game (too young and Monday Night) but have seen it on the end of season review. The decisions were shockingly bad. Andy Gray on co-commentary laid into Keith as well. -
Toulouse as well?

These pitch invaders will no doubt add another 4,000 pitchside stewards at our place next season. -

I meant more that we would probably never get into a position to sell academy lads for ridiculous money after minimal appearances. -

All the clubs involved have PSR issues. Probably a coincidence though.... -

Not that I agree with it but we don't play the game enough. A real lack of savvy about us. -

Pointing at your forehead makes all the difference. -
Charge everyone £500k each then no favourites and we can buy better players. If you don't like it go somewhere else because the owners have done nothing but good, respect is big for them and at least you will get a free cake for your £500k.

Even beyond that, getting away from the plastic nonsense we seem obsessed with would make things better. No other club of similar stature indulges in it.

Yes, it is a results business but playing this way will only get you so far. Tournaments also are about memorable moments if you don't win it, we have had several over the decades but I think we will probably exit having had the least enjoyable and memorable matches. -

Right in this now. -
We won 2/3rds of our matches so it can't have been that bad.

Our last three tournament second group matches have been 0-0 with Scotland, 0-0 with USA and 1-1 v Denmark. 270 absolutely dire minutes.
