Our last three managers all played some kind of possession based football. I don't think one dodgy rumour, that may not even be true, means we're going in a different direction.
-
Premier League thread!?
-
That area and also North Yorkshire is very nice.

Never been a fan. Okay in the Championship, aside from one good return in the PL (probably the Covid hit season) and one good season with Roma.

Can we have him in midfield as well!? -
Wasn't Poch sacked off because he ended up wanting more control of signings too? Makes sense the manager wasn't signing players when they were just throwing money around. Disaster of a club.
-
Same manager who didn't get promoted this season? Or is this a wind up? I'm not so sure anymore considering I've just seen posts with Mourinho named. Good grief.
-
Just read Chelsea have to sell first. Cant wait for his moaning in January when they can't sign anyone.
-
Steve Claridge. Often overlooked but the scorer of two of our most important goals.
-
Clubs let players go all the time that are successful elsewhere. But who is on this 'ever growing list' ??
-
I'm not doubting that but it's just a list. The next task of approaching a club for the manager(s), I imagine to be more tricky than how people like to explain it on the internet.
-
Missing the fact that one manager was in the Premier League and one was in the Championship.
-
Not that I'm a fan of Rudkin but a week is nothing considering they were not expecting him to leave. It's not a football game where he just says right we want xxx as the replacement lets go and get him.
-
My post was referring to us taking a chance on him. That's internally, the board. They have remained loyal to him. A few threads on the internet mean fvck all.
-
Not everything is about money though. Grealish left Villa for the best team in England, to play for the best manager in England and to win trophies.
-
I can accept managers leaving but he has left after one year. This is after we took a chance and gambled on him. First chance of going and he's off. Kick in the teeth.
-
See you then.

Football is not as easy as a manager managing better players so will be successful. If that was the case then all managers that move to a bigger club would succeed, but they don't.
-
Pochettino is a better manager and, with the same squad, only finished 6th. On the flip side I think you are over rating Enzo. I have said that all season and stand by it now. He did what he needed to do here, but with our budget/facilies/squad any half decent manager would have achieved the same.
-
He really isn't all that, and I doubt he will finish Champions League, but he moves at a time when Klopp has just left and Manchester United are in a bit of a mess. Probably best time to join for him, best change he and Chelsea have in a long time. A couple of dropped points and their fans will be on his back.
-
Fvck the good luck. Hope he fails. Will be back as Pep's number two within the next decade.

Edwards should be nowhere near. Sorry. He did well getting Luton up (but didn't actually start the season there remember, took their squad over) but they've just conceded 85 goals in the Premier League. I'm not sure that's a proven back to the wall job. Corberan did superb at Huddersfield but I'm sure he ended up walking due to lack of board funding. Bodes well for us!? He then went abroad and got sacked, didn't just move to WBA. Done well with WBA though and I'm not against him. I think he would be a better shout than Edwards.
-
And then fans justify it. "It's to good of an offer for him to turn down". Cheers for that.
