  1. 13:14 LEICESTER CLOSE TO DEFENDER Leicester City have a broad agreement with Dinamo Zagreb for young defender Filip Benkovic, Sky Sports News understands, with the Croatian Under-21 international due to fly to England later today for further talks. The deal could cost Leicester more than £10m, but it’s understood Claude Puel considers him as a good prospect for the future, rather than someone who can go straight into the first team - and is not viewed as a Harry Maguire replacement. Sorry sky your wrong, he's already here!!!!!
  2. https://www.footballwhispers.com/blog/who-is-spurs-target-filip-benkovic updated version from 2017
  3. https://footballtalentscout.net/2015/10/30/filip-benkovic/ 3 years ago this, but sounds a cracking player
  4. Now he's a prospect! happy for this one!
  5. agreed, are Leicester really gonna sign Mo Barrow & Diouf ? reallllyyyyy? If we do then we are allowed to freak out
  6. sat here watching Fulham sign Schurrle, Mawson, Chambers, Sari etc - Whats going on? thrown the towel in? ploughing all cash into the training ground. Net spend is hardling anything past few years!
  7. If he signs we may as well chuck him straight on the deadwood pile, cause thats where he will be soon enough, shocking lack of ambition if true, he's 31 in Decemeber, utter madness!
  8. My main worry this season is can we get Big Sam in to keep us up before someone else struggling does! Hallmarks of Southampton last season for me, Really hope we do well but tend to agree with the bookies about Puel being fave for the sack
  9. I think we lack amibiton as to where we could have been since winning the league, i know historically we are a bottom half, yo-yo team but we really did'nt grab the chance when offered to us to take that next step, summer 2016 was massive for us and we blew it on a load of squad players, we wont have that chance again now to compete with bigger clubs in the market. We are now just another Southampton, Leicester will more than likely be relegated in the next 10 years, all it takes is a few poor signigns, we have seen it from WBA, Stoke and nearly Southampton that the PL margins are so tight it doesnt take much to be sucked up.
  10. Obviously not, its just painful to watch Leicester get poorer year on year, burn cash on dross mostly... we lack ambition, so frustrating
  11. Lets replace Mahrez with someone half as good like Hazard then expect to progress in this league
  12. Yes if under 20m
  13. Every single summer im underwhelmed and this summer is no different, the window of 2016 was unforgiveable, as new champions with CL football we had the world at our feet and we wasted it, the owners are ambitous but not in the transfer market... bar Ndidi and maguire we havent signed a player thats improved our 11 (will see about evans and perreria) Now only Vardy, Kasper and Morgan remian as starters from the PL winning season, its no suprise we are regressing!
  14. 100% agree, the margins are tight.. 5 less wins last season would have meant relegation and that was with an unusally low 34 points for safety, normal year you need 40 points to stay up, We got 47 points and of the 56 goals we scored 48 game from Vardy & Mahrez goals and assists, Crazy figures! Puel casually saying lets spread around the goals! only 2 players last season had an end product and only 1 remains! the stats arent good, its a tougher league next season with the ambitous promoted teams (bar Cardiff) going for it. Some fans expecting improvement next season when the midfield and attacking options are a lot worse is baffling.
  15. Leicester scored 56 goals last season, 26 of those game from either a mahrez goal or assist...We looked lost without him at times last season, im definitely worried for next season, looking at the business Wolves and Fulham have done with envy. A win against a 10 man Arsenal has really papered over the cracks with Puel, I hope we fly out the blocks and we smash it but im not convinced......
  16. We can do better than him, if he does go to Brighton it will be because either we didn’t bid or want him, or we couldn’t offer first team footy
  17. Harry maguire and Ndidi for me will go to the very top!
  18. At least the usual generic “thanks for everything lcfc” rubbish would have been nice, the lad couldn’t wait to leave us... vardy will always be our treasured player when we know Mahrez is prob the best overall
  19. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/06/06/leicester-poised-sign-jonny-evans-3m-relegatedwest-brom/ will be announced by the weekend!
  20. Fully expect Morgan to be starting in the opening game of the season!
  21. Wes Morgans long goodbye has officially started, will he even be here come mid August? will he join Dawson at CB in the forest OAP dream team.
  22. "It is understood the fee, contained in a relegation clause in former Manchester United defender Evans' contract, is payable in two instalments of £1.75m." wow what a bargain... could be the signing of the summer!
  23. would be very much a stab in the dark signing and one for the future, a gamble Kaputska style.. he wouldnt grace the first 11 for a while if ever, but certainly promising if signed for under 15m
  24. fly by night "agent" John Harriot, who gets transfers wrong mostly but did brake the Iheanacho and Iborra deals has tweated this:- Big news coming out of Leicester City, they've enquired about Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik. The club are showing huge signs of intent and are willing to smash the current wage structure to sign a world class midfielder. The player wants to join an exciting project. #LCFC Leicester are talking to Hamsik's agent to decipher his wage and bonus package, an un-named chinese club have offered 300k p/w, which Leicester would have to come close to matching. They've certainly got the money - do they have the pull to attract such a big star? nothing to do with what i think, i just saw it on twitter so am relaying it on here......
  25. Im seriously worried now about relegation next season, Watching us right now reminds me exactly of West Brom and Southampton in the tail end of last season, in a tail spin of terrible results and performances that continued into the following season, I really feel if we stick with Puel and/or have another poor summer of Rudkins recruitment we will be in that predicament, we arent a million miles away points wise from the bottom 3 now, we are definitley in a false league position compared to where you would finish with 44 points, we got 44 last season so at best we arent progressing under Puel, this football is as bad a Craig Levein and thats saying something.
