  1. I think I'd rather have Huth back....
  2. That free kick sums us up. Just shambles
  3. He seems one of those 'for the future' we don't have to pay a lot, but we can sign him and the fans will get off our back cause we've signed a Chelsea player, low risk kind of signings. Doubt we will see much of him.
  4. From these next 10 games how many points do you think could save Cooper his job? I think if he gets 7 points we can almost guarantee that he won't be going anywhere. Anything less than 3 points he probably is in serious danger? I think we will get 4 or 5 points - which in my opinion means he will stay.
  5. Now this I need to hear more about!?
  6. So by this definition I take it you feel that Israel's actions over the last year has been justified? - not a case of - you flick me and I'll destroy your entire family, community and then some?
  7. Glad you're not facing Amorim? “You always deal with whatever’s in front of you. It’s been of interest around the world about what’s happening at United. The same as the first game, it’s about us focusing on ourselves. If we want to succeed in any game, it’s on us. It’s a tough game, but a challenge we’re looking forward to.” How different will league game be? “It was a League Cup game and now it’s in the league. They’ve got a few players back and that makes a difference. Whenever you play Man Utd, home or away, you come up against a team with talented players and you have to be mindful of that. We’re looking forward to going there again. We’re disappointed we only got a draw at Ipswich and we want to get back on the winning trail. We’ve had a really good week of training.” Coming into a team midway through a season? “Every situation will be different. You try to work off your instincts and align things to your beliefs. That’s the challenge of every coach, whether it’s somebody going into a third or fourth season, or you’re just taking over. Whenever you take a job, it will always look different to the one before and the one after. Buonanotte? “Really impressed. The highlights of his game have been shown quite often. You can see the obvious abilities. He’s a really good lad. He’s down to earth and he’s bought into the dressing room and what we’re asking of him while giving him the freedom. He’s got a really good training ethic, he’s aggressive in his own way. We’re enjoying working with him, really enjoying getting the best out of him, and it’s good we’re seeing it in a way that’s good for the club. Every team has talented players, but when they’re doing it for the team, that’s really pleasing. We’re only 10 games in so we need to make sure he keeps progressing.” Buonanotte transfer possible? “That’s not for me. While he’s here, we treat him like he’s our own. We’ve got a good relationship with Brighton.” United only two points ahead of you? “There’s always an opportunity. We’re not going into the game with that in mind. We have to have belief in the gameplan. It’s not something we’re talking about. We’re talking about getting certain players in certain positions and having an impact on the game. We want to believe we can go there and succeed. It was a frustrating last result. We’re looking forward to thriving under the challenge.” Old Trafford no longer to be feared? “You can go anywhere and create anything. There are no guarantees. Whatever we want to get out of any season is not going to be through good fortune, it’s going to be delivering when it counts. We want to shine at Old Trafford and show who we are.” Late goals? “We’re good for a goal at the moment. It’s not the plan to leave it so late to get results. At Ipswich we had a chance to make it a game that was ours all the way through, and we didn’t do that. It’s good that we’re showing resilience. But we have to show that at the start and during different momentum in games. These are conversations that are going on.” 10 points from 10 games? “We have to have the mentality that we can do better than that. There’s only six promoted teams that have done better than that in recent seasons, so it’s been decent. But we can get better and hopefully we can get more points from the next 10. Me and the guys always want more. It’s a fair one. Points tell the true story. There’s times where we should have picked up more points and times where we didn’t do enough. The ambition is to be higher. I’m always going to say I want more. That’s the elite environment of the Premier League. We’ve got to think big and make it happen.” Striving for 90-min performance? “Yes, but I don’t think we’ll be sitting on our own. There will be spells where the opponents will be on top. At Ipswich, we started and finished well but there were parts in the middle where we could have been better. You’re always striving for a 90-minute performance, but it’s easier said than done.” Ayew? “We knew we needed to bring in, as well as young players for the future, the experience. I was asked about the composure Jordan and Vards showed and that was built on experience. We’re delighted with Jordan because he can deliver and he knows what it takes. He’s very much about the team and the greater good. It can’t be about individuals. The more time he’s here, the more that will grow. Some important moments so far and there will be more to come.” Injuries? “Bobby missed Ipswich and still hasn’t returned to the grass. He picked up a nasty wound in the cup game. It’s on his Achilles in an awkward position as it keeps opening up. We’re hoping that heals quickly.” Daka? “He’s an asset for the team and it’s great to have him back. He’s a good guy who has certain attributes. He’ll be a great option. It is tempting to throw him straight back in, but we don’t want to do that to the detriment of getting him fully fit. It was quite a serious injury so we have to be careful. We’re cooperating with the medical team. He’s looking sharp and that will grow.” What needs to improve from first 10 games? “Got to strive to improve all parts. We can’t take for granted the good parts, that they will continue. We’ve conceded too many goals and too many chances. We can’t shy away from being more resilient in defending. Conceding goals isn’t just about the final bit, it’s about how it gets there. In possession, we’ve looked threatening at times, but at times we’ve needed to see that more often.
  8. Quite honestly - I was one of the biggest critics of Soumare - vowed that I never want to watch him in a Leicester shirt multiple times! - but now - I'm a bit confused and questioning my whole footballing thought process - if Soumare can come back from the "dead" then there is still plenty of hope for Daka
  9. When you get banned from a thread to do with the US elections when you've not really done or said anything different to people who are still posting on there........... That's when you get a bit like
  10. oh boy.... (true colours are being shown on this forum)
  11. But the biggest and hardest thing to do is engage with people who have listened to a rhetoric saying exactly what they want to hear (even if it's all BS and with no substance) - taking the high road is the most difficult road to take combating against those who use any tools necessary, so what do you do here - keep telling the "thickos" that they are being tricked or start trying to deceive them yourself?
  12. Well as others have said - Could it possibly be that the response people are the ones who do understand and the voters are the ones that do not!? Brexit is a failure and has made this country a lot weaker and isolated. To think that we were once the power we were was a grave mistake by the Brexiters, we make next to nothing ourselves and our service sector is dwindling rapidly. Boris - well we know how good he was - especially with all the issues with Covid - parties, misspent funds, making friends and family rich etc etc. So perhaps - just perhaps - we now live in a world where the minority are actually the informed and the majority have fallen for rhetoric which some powers that be want to give to control the masses.
  13. Not sure what is Lefty about just not wanting a convicted felon being in charge of the most powerful country in the world? Or a man who is outwardly racist, fascist and sexist?
  14. No chance the UK will go against the USA
  15. Honestly, this would be a disaster, how much experience does he have in a relegation battle?
  16. I just listened to his interview on BBC, the guy is delusional, talked about how we controlled the game. We were second best until the red card, and how he can't see that is beyond belief. On paper we have superior players to Ipswich (no disrespect) but yesterday they were miles better. Just shows that the battle between the managers was won by McKenna, Cooper is just out of his depth and we need to get rid before it's too late. Yes we have the points but as I've said before it's despite Cooper and not because of Cooper.
  17. Let's face it, except for the first 15-20 mins, Ipswich were the better team. We were just dreadful with more or less the team we've all been crying for. There is no direction, tactics are non existent and the players just seen confused, causing errors and lack of cohesion. He needs to go, clearly he is out of his depth. The next run of games we will get very little from, but at least with a new manager bounce, or some direction, we can put up a fight on those games.
  18. Ayew you stupid man, you've just gone and saved that fraud his job! Oh man I'm confused What did I want? Ayew you beauty, Ayew you clown... Oh boy
  19. That was all Soumaré! Fair play!
  20. The **** is over time?
  21. Oh this is super depressing
  22. Ffs them having a red card will make it harder for us. We lack creativity and with them having 10 men behind the ball it will be even harder to get a goal here. Our only chance was on the counter
  23. Yeah that was really poor. Just turned him so easily after Faes goes gung ho
