On the ball hee reminds me of Albrighton in a way, hard to explain but I feel like his footballing brain operates on a higher level than his skill level. Going forwards he seems to try and be very direct and sees the picture in front of him quite well. Often attempting passes into good space or onto a run that one of the forwards are making. He's tenacious at the back, again not particularly fast or strong, but he does a fair job. I find him quite likeable and hope he can continue to play a decent role under Ruud.

Can't disagree on that

Think HPF is on the right track here. Leaving at any point itself is not an issue, the reason or lack of doesn't matter in the slightest. Being a selfish knob by standing in front of people for ages while you say bye and try and watch the game as you leave, is affecting others. If you want to leave, then slink out as quickly as possible so everyone who wants to stay can actually watch the game.

Thought that was a promising half all in all though. More pace needed on the counter attack, Mav for Ayew has to happen at half time.
-
The best thing about Ayew is that he makes McAteer look like prime Ronaldo

Fancy this to be a bit of a goal fest. Gonna go for 4-3 either way

It's been announced 5 hours before kick off, journey is just over an hour, absolutely fine to give the game as much chance as possible. Nobody will have set off and it's still early enough for the men to be dragged into christmas shopping. I'm sure they'll make an announcement about refunds and new dates soon enough. Literally done it by the book. I think you're being incredibly unfair here

Tonight's card is looking very decent looking forward to this. Lawrence okolie looks like someone that are Lawrence Okolie on the weigh in. Hopefully the last South American that Royston Barney smith has to fight today. Get the job done early and hopefully he moves onto bigger fights next year. Pauls v Bentley should be a good tear up.

Grown men shouting boo. Still one of the weirdest things you can hear.

Keeping possession when teams are more inclined to press with intensity doesn't compute with me. I was under the impression that the possession obsessed was to draw out teams that want to sit in and counter. If teams are willing to press, I don't want possession, I want direct forward balls played into the massive gaps the opposition are leaving.

To be fair both offsides were ridiculously close. I imagine they had to manually compare several different angles. Bringing in the semi-automation will be a game changer in that regard -
I think it would be considered unsporting and not sanctioned by the league.

Results aside, their squad is more than capable of challenging top 8 and picking up 50-55 points. I'm not sure if it's injuries or poor management that's had them stuttering so far, but that squad has already shown what it's capable of in recent seasons. Even with the results, you're showing me losses to Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs as evidence that they're poor? The Everton result is the weak one there, but poor results happen. Poor is just the wrong word in my opinion. Boringly though...football is subjective, so it doesn't matter how much we argue, there's no correct answer
-
They're not a poor side though, it's just not true at all. Another day they could genuinely have had 4, 5 or 6 themselves, especially if they had scored earlier and forced us to be even more open at the back.
-
We really should be scouring the world for his replacement at this point, because at best we have 18 months of him, realistically it's probably 6 though.
-
Boy ooozes class. Vision and technique are quality.
-
Players seemed to be avoiding passing to him where possible so maybe he picked up a knock or strain

Christ, Fabianski got a hand on that. Would genuinely have been one of the best saves ever if he kept that out

Any other night I feel like this could be about 3-6. Quite amazing we're 2-0 up, but we'll take this given Ruud's been in charge for 2 days. Clear that we need to improve because more often than not, this results in a landslide loss. Weirdly it feels like a good performance, but I don't know if that's because of the massive Perspex shield in our goal. It definitely feels like we've been a lot more positive, rather then letting the game pass us by. Despite West Ham's form as well, they have a team capable of pushing for top 8 if not top 6. They're no mugs.
-
Whenever McAteer gets the ball you can be sure the opposition will have possession back relatively quickly
-
Feels inevitable they'll score but this is miles more positive than the dross Cooper was serving up
-
Im flattered by the offer, but I don't need a live reconstruction of what that actually looks like
