Professional footballer passed ball into 40 yards of space, it's actually insulting to the man for bigging up that pass, your opinions of him must be through the floor Getting this wrong would be worse than just dribbling to your own goal and smashing the ball in the net.
-
He definitely kisses himself in the bathroom mirror before kissing the full size Brendan Rodgers portrait that sits on his bedside table.
-
Ange commits bodies forwards and they look to transition the ball up the pitch very quickly when they win it back. I think it's chalk and cheese to us, we very obviously get the ball back to our defenders, get into our shape and then start running through pre programmed routines.
-
I miss his 70 yard balls to Mavididi and Fatawu earlier in the season after we'd enticed the other team onto us. You don't want to see endless hoofing because that's the god awful stuff we had to endure under Shakey when he got the gig full time. Equally I don't want to watch my goalkeeper and defenders walking with the ball for 30 odd minutes a game, gifting random chances to the opposition in the process. I do wish the managers could agree to sack off the first 70 minutes and just play the last 20 cus they're generally the 20 that are worth watching haha.
-
It's really not his fault, he's told to play this way. The guy can launch a ball 70 yards no problem, I'm sure he'd much rather be asked to flip a ball into the other teams corners for our wingers to chase. Rather than being forced into situations where, even when he's doing his job well, he will gift the opposition 2 or 3 chances a game. The lad's mustard and will play at the top level.
-
Not really, but only because the refs are absolute garbage though and lack very little common sense and even less consistency.
-
We should be counter pressing more, forcing the opposition into mistakes. We did it for a spell of 10 mins or so in the 2nd half
-
I bet even the most vivid imagination cant imagine what this is either
-
I must be haha. The game I watched we had 2 shots on goal and one was because the opposition decided to let 2 of our players run clean through. I'd have much rather watched the game you and Enzo watched

Jumpers for goalposts Muddy knees Marvelous love the attitude of this team to be fair but not on board onboard style at all. Burnley are on for a record 8 losses at home today. Its hard to see anything but a similar outcome for us if we go up and play teams capable of punishing the chances and dangerous positions we constantly gift teams. Still hoping we see some adaption from Enzo, being so predictable can't be a positive. Theres a lot I like about him but im worried he's so far married to this style that we won't see the necessary adaption. As I'm typing this, I just heard Enzo say the win was completely deserved 100%. I genuinely feel like I'm living in an alternative reality 😁

And he ended up replacing arguably our best cm as the wheels came off Opted to watch Leicester today so missing the game. Poor choice on my part i think haha. Hoping for another solid performance Has hutchins left the club or is he injured? Not seen him about or heard about him
-
Another absolute gift from the opposition, more lovely paper for the cracks. Fair play to Wilf, KDH and Wilf, scored us a couple of goals out of nothing.

Obsession with McAteer over Fatawu makes no sense to me. McAteer consistently murders so many attacking opportunities with poor decision making and passing. The purple patch has properly warped the opinion of him
-
If "better decisions" means more passing then I can see why our players have chosen to pass and kill a chance, rather than take on a clear shot. I'm not talking 30 yards about, I'm talking a free shot within 20 yards of goal. We've passed up plenty of those opportunities so far for some unfathomable reason.
-
Oooft. If anyone watched the game on Wednesday and their conclusion was "we need to be slower and pass more" I'd laugh, it's terrifying that the gaffer is saying it though. Gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and hope it's just a case of poorly chosen words in his 2nd language. Evidence will be in the performance on Saturday.

Enzo needs to be careful - the dangerous spiral
filbertway replied to Collymore's topic in Leicester City Forum
Had this conversation with a few people and pretty much said exactly what you've said. You can handle rough patches as long as you have faith that the manager will learn and improve from it. As soon as you start seeing a manager consistently fail to adapt you know that the performances and results will trend downwards. The only thing then is waiting to see how many anomaly "highs" you get that delay the inevitable. As you say, nowhere near that stage yet. It'll certainly be interesting to see how things develop over the next month or two, fingers crossed Enzo finds a way to adapt and we're looking a lot better. Should certainly be helped by the return of Yunus, Wilf and Praet. Also with Alves getting closer. -
Of course we're doing enough, the quality we have in comparison to opposition is wild. If this is the identity then next season will be brutal. Were not gonna be able to get by on just being better than the other team in the prem. If we fumble promotion he won't get another 50 million to spend, we will be drastically cutting the purse strings.

A symptom of the tactics I believe. When our CB is asked to just stand still with the ball and we look to "control the game" by playing at a walking pace, I can't imagine it's easy to switch into action mode without something external motivating them. Maybe we just need to actually concede one of these early chances we give the opposition and we'll see the tempo and desire naturally rise
-
Thoroughly deserved draw for Wednesday and probably should have been a win. They've just had to hold their shape and watch us mince with the ball for 70/80 minutes. They should have scored 3 or 4 to be honest. Absolutely no tempo aside from the standard 10-15 mins in the second half where we look half-arsed about scoring. Vardy getting humiliated by their defenders while we have 2 strikers on the bench was odd as well. I don't see how this system does anything but absolutely bomb when we're playing superior teams, unless we're planning to spend half a billion. We're making tough work of games against teams with vastly inferior resources. Very little going forwards and always feel like the opposition will get good chances (thankfully they rarely seem to take them which makes our goals against look more impressive than it probably should be). Will be interesting to see if we approach the game with more tempo against WBA cus if we play this like again they will punish us.
-
I was gonna say, whether you pretend Ricardo is playing LB or RB, he's playing DM with Winks
-
Yeah that's a fair one and probably what he's thinking. Probably see Hamza and KDH/Wilf come on at the same time later in the game.
-
Coady in at LCB I assume. Would be odd to move Faes and Vesty when they're settled Pretty much what I expected although thought Hamza would play instead of Dicky P.
-
I think ironically playing teams above us will be a benefit. Even unconsciously we'll pay the other teams more respect, usually when we do that we generally look better, unless the other team genuinely outclasses us. December and January will make us a break us. Last year it made us, so hoping for more of the same
-
Luckily that's probably still more they'd get elsewhere Really hoping Coalville can start to chain 4 or 5 wins together. We actually defended well on Saturday and looked like we were trying not to concede so that's giving me hope. We're playing a lot of top half teams in the next couple of months, so basically getting into the play off spots is well in our hands.

Players probably know tthat there contracts are on the line if they don't go up :p
