Reading the Enzo comparison's is so annoying I would like a new gaffer, just to cement that in fact our squad is the absolute pits. I'm sure some people will still be pretending we've got the same squad that Enzo had. Cifuentes, Enzo. Dyche. It doesn't matter. The squad will continue to get weaker year on year, our best hopes of enjoyment will be random cup victories and digging out a late winner against someone like Preston. The genuine fascination is whether they're capable of taking us to league two if given enough time. It won't be easy even for them, but if anyone can do it, it'll be Top and Rudderz.

I'd have to disagree, I don't think its a good idea to risk trying to play teams offside from that position. The reactions of the players didnt suggest they felt aggrieved by it either. Although that could be attributed to the fact they don't really care

It's only really in the last game that Southampton looked impressive. QPR and Wednesday were nothing to write home about. Much like our performances. The only question is whether that result and performance from Saturday carries into today for Southampton. Or whether we see two absolutely rancid teams serve up another 90 minutes of stale, grey and lifeless football. If they carry their levels into this game then we're in trouble. If they revert back to their usual standard then it'll be a grim affair and the game will come down to luck/moments that decide which way the game goes.
