  1. No issue with sitting deep, but you've got to explode forwards when we win it back. Not try and get 8 passes between the back 6
  2. Vesty doing his best Coady impression
  3. Sit deep combined with slow possession football from the back, interesting. How are they getting in behind so easily against a back 6 though
  4. Lost a lot of respect for potter, playing 2 attackers against us Some firepower on that bench mind
  5. Scary thing is that our DOF probably actually thought this rather than "we're a premier league team and have literally hundreds of players we could sign who would offer more value"
  6. I fancy Bunting will still be on 0 pts after tonight with another tough game v Littler. Will be interesting to see if Gezzy Price lifts his game vs Humphries again
  7. Bowen and Kudus are gonna have a field day with the space we will give them tonight.
  8. I'd be shocked if rubel von nistrey isn't manger next caesar to be honest.
  9. If the guy is not picking the players that give us the best chance of staying up to make a point, then he's a bit a knob head. He's not really "showing them" by being equally incompetent.
  10. Villa definitely aren't being smart with their money They're giving themselves virtually no wiggle room, unless they've got a shady deal with Saudi to bail them out everytime they're struggling.
  11. It's weird how people only had this opinion after him missing the squad last night Didn't see people queuing up to claim he's going to spend the next 15 years crocked last week
  12. Superb stuff, can't wait for this one Trying not to get too excited after the way the last one was ruined mind haha
  13. Actually, as embarassing as Ayew is. Look at Soumare, that lack of work in a midfield 2 is a massive reason we concede so many.
  14. It's the lack of flexibility that's my main issue with him. He's got a system that very clearly an evidently is not working. Instead of looking for solutions he's walking round with a long face and crying because his one system that he knows doesn't work with the available players.
  15. Good shout on Sensi, that was the one time I was happy that Rudkin said no to a manager, the signing made absolutely no sense long term.
  16. Mavididi is useless anyway I'd agree on that, he's not got one iota of urgency or awareness in him. Him, Ayew, BDCR all absolutely nothing players. But to not start Facundo with Bilal who are literally the only 2 players with the legs and desire to actually create things is insane.
  17. Watch the first highlight in this and tell me more about Maldini Ayew's defensive prowess
  18. Was Coady not pre Enzo? Mads, Fatawu, Yunus, Mavidi and Cannon were all players signed with potential upside. Although the Cannon signing made no sense at all, we at least broken even on that. Doyle and Casadei on loan, two young players who we could potentially have signed had they impressed. Wasn't a fan of the Coady or Winks signings, but Winks proved worthwhile in playing a big part in getting us up. There was a general attitude of signing younger players with upside and/or resale value there though.
  19. With this squad enzo would be achieving about the same, because her'd be doing what RVN is doing and trying to play his only way of playing against better teams. I find it hard to believe the window would have been as much of a car crash under Enzo as it was under Cooper though. Facundo and BEK matches the type of player he was looking for last season. Can't see him getting a hard on over Skipp, BDCR and Ayew. Can't shake the thought that he'd have been all over Casadei though
  20. When I'm wrong I'm spectacularly wrong I really thought he'd mix it up and find a way to grind out some wins, but if his attitude is "we don't have a chance" then we need him out the door asap, that's genuinely atrocious. Also explains why he can't be arsed trying to find a working formula. I still stand by my point that it was unfair to judge while he was missing a couple of key players that contributed to results earlier in the season. He's got them back now though and we're just as disgustingly bad. I still think Cooper was awful and a major reason why this team would probably struggle to beat last season's team. The annoying thing is, you wouldn't find anyone more skeptical about this appointment than me at the time it happened
  21. Cheers Ruud, made me look a right fool claiming "oooo he's got an elite mentality". Get in the bin.
  22. That's fair, I can't really argue with how you want to judge performance, I think we see the game fundamentally differently.
  23. Who do you think your "clueless" board would hire that elevates you to the 90+ point mark (which recently is no guarantee of a title) You struggled for goals this term, but past 2 seasons you've hit over 80 points, 84 and 88, for the first time since 07/08 whilst scoring 88 and 91 goals. Possibly fair to say it's gone a bit stale there this season? He still has you in 2nd place but the lack of goals compared to the last 2 seasons must be a concern. The signing of Sterling was pretty awful as well, whoever sanctioned that needs their head checking Does it feel like you've peaked under him and are regressing now? Would be interested to hear more information other than the standard data we have access to. I personally think people put too much weight on winning things, when judging players, teams and managers. If you're capable of hitting 84+ points a season, which is over 2 points a game. I don't think there's any shame or failure in another team happening to do better. Hitting 85+ points is very impressive, especially with the talent in this league that even the bottom half teams have access to with the ridiculous money in this league.
