Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

Cole Palmer amazed Phil Foden and Jack Grealish by playing two Man City games in same day and he even scored a hat-trick | talkSPORT I had to google it and make sure I wasn't going mad. I reckon Evans can go one better and bag a hattrick in each game -

Was it Palmer a few years back that played a part of an early kick off for Man City and then played for the u21s later that day and bagged a trick? -
Bournemouth away is a tricky one, but then Wolves have 4 home games (Fulham, Everton and West Ham, Spurs) and 3 away games (Ipswich, Southampton, Man U) In that same time we have Brentford H West Ham A Chelsea A Man Utd H Man City A Newcastle H Brighton A Liverpool H Given the relative ability of both Squads I'll be amazed if the gap isn't significantly wider by the time we play each other.

Aye, next win will be May 3rd but I think we will be confirmed as down on April 26th when Wolves beat us at their gaff

Sounds promising, some very young players in that u21 team. Nice to see the pathway to the first team getting closer rather than having it full of 22 year old non league players. Next step is getting them on the first team pitch, enhancing their reputations and making some money -
Naaaah, you're alright

I'm glad it's not just me that's noticed this weird fascination of calling someone a "lovely bloke" when they're terrible at their job then. It's the new "delusions of grandeur" that people started using after learning the new phrase from Pearson

There's only probably one club that's worse than us in the market and it's Man United, I'd love it if they gave Vardy a massive contract

The more we get smashed the more people will join in with the sit in protest. You're gonna beat ua anyway Arsenal, make it emphatic.

Genuinely don't know why most of you give KP your money, they have absolutely no regard for the fans. Being treated like dirt and continuing to turn up just seems mad to me.

Kasey Keller looking like the OG Ward in those highlights

Should have had a break this year anyway, it wasa great opportunity to get the release cycle lined up so they're not doing releases in November as well.

Although with the benefit of hindsight, all that delicious experience let Garnacho have all the freedom he wanted to put about 20 crosses into the box. Monga could easily have gone on the left wing in your example, he plays off both sides. There will always be excuses made for not blooding youngsters. I've seen them all consistently for nearly 10 years now. Promotion race, relegation fight, we need to fnish as high as possible because each place is worth £2m. There's never a situation where people can't find an excuse. I don't necessarily disagree with any of your points above btw. I think as a club we've decided we prefer experience and players generally have to be about 22/23 before we give them a chance. I'd prefer we were a club that had an ethos of developing young players in order to play a part in our first team or to sell on for profit. I think as a club you have to commit to one or the other. Unfortunately we've committed to experience, but we're terrible at selling players on as well, so we've got ourselves into a position where we probably have 2 players that people would be willing to pay decent money for

Potentially a class day for Forest fans. Relegate Leicester? Confirm top 4? Leigh Wood returning to action

The ref annoyed me in that one, had it been the other way he would have stopped it on the knock down. Heaney staggering and stumbling even when he readed 8...9, then giving the corner about 20-30 seconds to get his mouth guard back in. Disappointing performance from Wallin, entertaining as ever from Del Boy but Wallin was just there as a punch bag.

I'd love to see Jordan Ayew beating a full back

Not saying he should be battering them, but he shouldn't be making out that it was a good performance either. 2nd half was ghastly. Think the players were right to be disappointed.
