Mccarron seems a big fan, Lee has had his PR doing the rounds in the English press lauding the job he’s done over there. League One would be an achievable re-entry point for him. But yeah it would be ****ing horrific and I’d want to die
-
The former I imagine. That and the fact neither will be able to use their skillset to any effect at that level with no money available/possible administration transfer bans. The best McCarron could do is implement some good strength and conditioning processes and perhaps hire a new manager (who I think will be Lee Johnson.....) I imagine the commercial director is already questioning some decisions, for example, why have they brought him in, a seasoned marketer with bags of experience, and handed the senior management of that department to our former local journalist comms director....

Just putting this here to come back to in September. I reckon the commercial director and sporting director wont be with us by the time the League one season kicks off.

Anthony Herlihy – Director of Noncommunication

I mean we absolutely need a CEO and an MD.... what we don't need is a CEO and a random person who has never held a position above middle management..... -
Looks like there was even more additions than mentioned initially. - Anthony got a sneaky promotion to add Marketing to his remit. - As part of that, someone who has been with us 17 years and never had another job is now "associate director of Content, Marketing and Digital" - We've also hired an Interim finance director who spent his career with Everton before leaving last year.

Christ... i've just learned that along with Tony's sneaky promotion, one of the 4 blokes is now the "Associate Director of Content, Marketing and Digital" Been with us 17 years.... never had another job. -
To be fair, it's one static camera that only really shows if a wicket is taken. I doubt it's costing much.

Husbands firm does all the shop fit outs for KP too.

Doubt it, UNTOLD is produced by Uninterupted, who are owned by Wasserman, which is why John Morris is on it. Doubt he'd be advising Vardy to say anything that would ruin a legacy!

This is about the only joy I have left.... so please allow it Super Cooper continues his marvelous job in Denmark. Brondby last won a competitive game on the 9th November 2025, 12 games ago. (scoring 4 goals in those 12 games ) They're currently in the play off phase of the league and have lost 2 in 2. Look destined to miss out on any european comp next season. Also look set to finish on less points than a couple of the teams in the bottom half of the league split. Not sure how he's still there to be honest.
-
It's not the solo project film he'd been looking to do. More of a documentary that's part of a wider series. I'm sure it'll still be a good watch though

One i've seen a bit of this season at Notts County is Tom Iorpenda, tricky winger. (to clarify I think he's officially a CM, but Notts County system see's him drift out wide and get crosses in) He does belong to Huddersfield though, and to me looks a Championship ready player, so might only be one for if miracles have happened

Just to put this into context. Leicester City, as a Premier League team, couldn't be bothered to stream U21 games despite far superior resources and potential reach

I think this is where restructuring would help. You can't just sack someone, but being relegated to League 1 gives the club the perfect opportunity for a clear out. The fact remains, the marketing team is 4 blokes, all collectively been with us 10 years or more, not a single qualification or previous industry experience between them, and now being managed by Tony after his quiet promotion. The woman who joined the social team was the first new hire in yonks. -
I think yesterdays was harsh... BUT... if someone is running at speed and they get their head yanked back, there's genuinely a chance for as much damage to be caused as there would be from a violent conduct challenge on legs, if not more.

In fairness, at a well run club, it's a great role with huge scope. If I was in the role, this forum for example would be a superb source of ideas/engagement opportunities. I don't blame the lady in charge, she'll be being micromanaged to within an inch of her life no doubt. Any ideas or creativity she had will have been squashed, much like new players when they arrive here (Mukasa...) Similar story with the new social media admin we hired this season, breath of fresh air in pre season then.... revert to type. -

You'd think this, but we've had opportunities to restructure in the past and done the opposite. As horrible as it is, there's been the perfect opportunity to clear the decks and start a fresh with some of the 'lifers' who are under qualified and over promoted. During Covid they protected everyone.... during the first relegation they hired MORE staff.... this time round.... MORE again! We're bloody dreadful at this sort of thing, just like every other aspect of running the club. Perhaps with the former FD making the decisions now we will be more brutal. But hopefully it's a chance for a proper reset, as horrible as it is for those involved, there's people in mid level positions at this club who haven't got a ****ing clue what they're doing and need to be moved on. Might also help the balance sheet too, can't think of many other clubs (even in the premier league) paying the head of fan engagement 80k+ -
Think the agony will be prolonged to be honest, that's just how things go for us now Also Ipswich will be well up for it, win their two games in hand and it's job done realistically.
-
Been really impressed with Farke's attitude this season. He seemed like another "my way of the highway" type in terms of style of play and failing in the Premier League, but when it became clear Leeds were heading that way he switched things up. They've had a wobble recently but I think overall deserve safety if they win at the weekend.

U21s away to Leeds tonight. Last game before the play off phase. I think we’re more or less qualified unless Stoke get an 18 goal swing From memory I think it’s 1st vs 16th and so on in the play offs. Think we can finish as high as 9th. -
It’ll only be a 1 or 2 pt job so I imagine they might try and get it done this week, especially if WBA have worked with them and accepted it.
