Maybe, but he's young and hopefully hasn't reached his ceiling yet.

Yes, thats true, which is why I said 'among the valid criticism' -

Spot on. Among the valid criticism there has been a lot of unfair criticism that made no allowance for the fact that we had 3 games in a week. -

I think that a sadist enjoys inflicting suffering on others. You're a self-harmer. -

Interesting. A long time ago, we had a great routine that mitigates the chances of not clearing the first man because the first man was a Leicester player. It was Lynex, I think, that whipped the corner in, John O'Neill got a touch at the near post and Alan Smith would bury it. It worked surprisingly often. -
Those were the days. Sniff.

For me, that was never a decent window. I was scratching my head when many on here were giving it 8s out of 10. Whilst I agree that JJ and Ramsey are good loans, you can't just brush aside the fact that we did next to nothing to address the glaring hole in the team up front. That should have been priorities one, two and three! I think we should have high expectations of this team because most of the players have either won this division before or have been signed to play in The Premier League. The fact that we have no striker worthy of the name is what will cost us unfortunately.
-
That's kind of my point. It wasn't our points tally that had us out of the bottom three, (0.8 ppg is bottom 3 fodder), it was because Wolves and Palace had gotten off to heroically bad starts. As soon as they got their acts together they left us for dust. Don't do it to yourself. Don't tell yourself we could have been saved if only we'd stuck with Gollum. This, after all, was the man who pinned his hopes of survival on bringing in Ayew, Reid and Oliver bloomin Skipp!
-
That would have left us with only three fit centre backs so that assumption doesn't hold water.
-
Moat of those players were signed to play in the Premier League and are letting us down even at this level.
-
Wolves and Palace had us out of the relegation zone, not Cooper.
-
It's sickening to think that those players (bar Thomas) were all signed to play in The Premier League yet can't even cut it in The Championship.
-
I don't agree. Both promotion and rebuild are possible at the same time and it will be much easier with Premier League money. The point is moot anyway unless we change tactically as it looks as though we have already been sussed by the rest of the league. We are easy to play against so promotion is not looking likely.

I wouldn't include Daka in that list. He's bad in a different way.

I have learned recently that when people make ludicrous arguments, it is probably best not to pursue it.) ll

This is very true but we knew this when the window was open.

Lol. I notice you've changed your original playground insult to another. You must have been thinking about that all day Your avatar is really starting to make sense to me now. @LCFCJohn I do apologise. It defo won't happen again. This prickly so and so is going on 'ignore'

It won't. Promise.

Genuinely, you really need to stop taking things so personally.

You still haven't named a club with a stronger squad, just listed the shortcomings of our own. Such is the standard of this division that our mob, for all its weaknesses is still the strongest in this league imo.
-
You could apply that kind of servile thinking to politics. Donald Trump? 'He must be right because he's the president'. If a decision seems counterintuitive it should be questioned. Morning.

Far from sufficient but I will leave it here as i can see that you are one of those that can't have a discussion without toys being ejected from prams. Have a good evening yourself.

Thought not,

I will thanks. But before I leave you in peace, I notice that you are unable to answer the question as to what you think he would be unable to do here. To be clear, I am saying that Nelson demonstrated that he can defend at this level for Oxford and therefore at any other club in this division. The idea that he would be unable to defend in a more possession based team after already demonstrating that he can in a more defensive one against the same opposition and in the same position is laughable and if you disagreeI would invite you to find a precedent.

.Most expensive squad in th league
