  1. That is pretty much self-evident.
  2. When was this? Has been our best player this season.
  3. Can I please agree to disagree too? Thanks
  4. To paraphrase the old cliche, it is the definition of madness to pick the same player and expect different results. You've made a fine case for the defence but after four years, the jury's returned and the verdict is in. As for negativity, you have to make the distinction between supporting the player at the ground which I agree with and speaking freely and airing your frustrations on a forum which is completely different.
  5. What? Holland? It's a well trodden path. I think it more likely that a mediocre career points to a mediocre player, regardless of how many minutes he's played for us.
  6. Signed to play in The Premier League but not good enough to make our championship side. Ouch. Change that makes a bad situation even worse. A bit like a certain leader of a certain country I could mention. 😂
  7. No. I said he want good enough before he had played even one minute for us based on his career to date. Absolutely scandalous that we go into a new season without properly addressing the fact that we don't have a functional striker. If we don't go up, that will be the reason why.
  8. or pace
  9. Is it not the strikers that are killing the system?
  10. Ramsey probably not match fit and the Nelson mystery continues. Apart from that about the best team we could put out.
  11. Which clown do you mean?
  12. We may not have those players but this time around we have Kristiansen, Reid, Okoli, Ayew, Skipp and Soumare.... 😀
  13. Cov are nothing special. Just goes to show the lack of quality in this league. If we can get our act together we should finish above them.
  14. Not really the first thing I think of for a number 10. More of a 9 thing. For a 10, I'd want to see some speed of thought, some creativity and being able to thread a few passes, but first of all I'd expect him to be facing in the right direction. Ayew should be a 12 in my opinion.
  15. I've heard this a lot, but genuinely, what attributes does Ayew have that would make him a decent 10? Falling over or dribbling toward your own half doesn't really cut it for me.
  16. Come on. If you didn't use that word it was heavily implied. You couldn't really have been more dismissive.
  17. Dismissing how well he played last year as meaningless is just bizarre. I wish I could share your confidence. I think he will definitely make it, but if we don't play him, it will be elsewhere.
  18. I would say that we don't have the luxury of not playing these kids. We are in a very fortunate position insomuch as we have a generational crop of youth talent. If we don't play them we risk losing them..
  19. That makes no sense. If a player has shown he can compete at a level last season, why would you doubt he could do it the following season? The football industry might as well scrap their recruitment and data analyst teams then. Apparently it is pointless. Nobody's saying conspiracy. Well I'm not anyway. MC has apparently chosen experience over developing talent which is a mistake imo.
  20. I think the fact that he was, by all accounts, sensational in this division last year answers that question. At his stage in his career he will only improve too. Imagine another scenario. Imagine, we go up this year playing Lurch and Garfunkel with scant minutes going to Nelson. We will find ourselves back in the Premier League without a functional defence. Now imagine we are promoted and have given Nelson a full year in the Championship to develop. He could be PL ready by then. We know the other two won't be.
  21. Not if we don't play him we won't. He will be off.
  22. OK. I seem to remember one of Brian Cox's brilliant programmes where he was showing old family photos and seemed to me to be saying that each of these photographs was not only a moment in time but also a location in space and still exists in that location, as space and time (spacetime) are locked together. Of course I could have misunderstood him entirely.
  23. Would likely have beaten Oxford were it not for a red card, should have beaten Wrexham, should have beaten Cov were it not for poor finishing. I think we are still a work on progress with one of the best squads in the league and I expect it will come together and silly errors will be ironed out We'll see
  24. The application process to find her replacement has already begun...
  25. Apparently the 'big cruch' end of the universe is back on the table again due to the fact that the cosmological constant might be a negative... ... No, me neither... Anyway, if that happened and we all travelled backwards through the same spacetime that we had travelled forwards through, does that mean we will all live our lives again, exactly the same but backwards?
