But signing a right back that doesn't even get into the team is what actually happened in real life. This club's an effin joke!

I want us to be called Leicester Fosse.
-
Not a bad idea. Worth a try. We used to do quite well with converted midfield fullbacks - Gary Mills, Paul Ramsey, Ali Mauchlen..
-
He already has been.

I'm not saying you shouldn't criticise the way we've been run and continue to be run. It is all self-inflicted after all. My comment was directed to those who say they don't care any more and walk away from the club because we're no good anymore. The definition of a fair-weather fan.

I think that we should to rely on the academy as we can't trust the club in the transfer market. Stolarcyk, Alves, Cartwright, Braybrooke, McAteer and Nelson might form the basis of a good championship team we could all get behind. Even Monga and that Evans kid, but maybe too early for them and may get poached anyway. Add in a bit of experience - Ayew, flippin Lurch that we lumbered ourselves with again, Ricardo if he's not broken and then add some good Championship players like Fats and Mavididi. Flush out some dross, I'm looking at you Wout and we'll be fine.

It's tough being a Leicester fan right now, even more so when you consider that we are the authors of our own downfall, but in my view, fans that abandon the club during the hard times have no right to return for the good. How can you criticise the players for not caring when you have no backbone yourself?

Probably the main issue, but not the only issue. Skipp was simply a player we didn't need. It was as baffling at the time as it is now.

I get the doom and gloom, the transfer inactivity is just showing that the club has given up on survival which is unforgivable, but why is everyone predicting that we won't come back up? LCFC will always be a big fish in The Championship pond. We may be hopeless in the Premier League but we just smashed an in form Championship club 6-2 in the cup. Build from the academy get rid of the passengers and get title number nine next year. ...well maybe play offs.

Not even in jest...

Is there a tier five?

I mean he has a few controversial opinions but 'crap' is a bit harsh.....

You're all going to feel pretty foolish when Andros Townsend rocks up at half past ten tomorrow night.
-
The 'redemption arc' is fast becoming a 'w'. What surprises me is that people seem surprised. Of course he's not good enough at this level.
-
Imagine how much you would be raging if you were a Tottenham fan.
-
Yep. Seems we're so mentally fragile that we just fold against our closest rivals.
-
If only we'd signed a CB in the summer that improved the team? We have three of the worst CBs in the league and yet we manage to find one who is even worse.

Anyone see mahrez' goal for his Saudi club the other day? Ball launched forward by the keeper, Mahrez brings it down with a sublime first touch beating the defender in the process, his second touch a twenty five yarder into the net. He wasn't bad that mahrez fella. https://onefootball.com/en/video/riyad-mahrezs-stunning-counter-attack-goal-40621053

Shame. I feel for him.

Buying for £3m and selling for £90m is not asset stripping. That's how a club like Brighton (or us, if we were smart) can invest, improve and compete in the top half.

That doesn't mean we can't unearth a gem. This guy isn't one of them.

In my opinion, mads is exceptional, especially for his age. Jakub is very good with the potential to become exceptional. I don't follow the u23s or whatever, but I have heard Jakub's name mentioned several years ago as one that Could be a bit special. It winds me up when some on this thread make pronouncements about his ability like he's not good enough or he's championship level based on next to nothing. We need to tie this kid down if we haven't already.

How we may live to rue that Wolves/Ward debacle.

At least Peter Taylor's 8 game consecutive loss record remains intact.
