Don't agree that Middlesbrough bottled it. They don't have the squad depth and it caught up with them. Not to mention they were without their best player yesterday.

Assuming "that" season is 2015/2016, i'd argue Vardy became even better in the following 3 or 4 seasons. Under Puel he was insanely good given how little got created for him and then at the start under Rodgers. For that entire period id argue he was world class under most definitions. Pace, movement, finishing off both feet and head, work rate, even his link up and 1 touch lay offs were well above average.

That defending

Its weird. I dont really dislike any of their players individually, and like quite a few (Raya, Rice, Saka, Calafiori) but Arteta, their pragmatism, and their fanbase tip me over the edge.

Dislike Arsenal as much as the next man but they were the better side over the 2 games and Arteta managed it well with his changes. Rice and Gyokeres were good and hopefully Saka can build up some form heading into the world cup. PSG or Bayern should beat this Arsenal side, but it wont be a foregone conclusion with how solid Arsenal are.

I could see Page developing into that player but we could really do with adding a goal threat from central midfield.

Watching their goal back again, i cant believe he didnt shift over towards Langstaff when the pass got played into the box prior to the flick. Then he's far too lumbering to close the space. I dont think that goal gets scored against any other defender in the league in the same position. Useless.

I'm not sure we will get his book value as a transfer fee. More likely he gets shipped on loan with option/obligation.

New album just been announced. Released May 29th. I love pretty much all their stuff but the last album wasn't my favourite, but have high hopes for this one.

Id take Lascelles for reasonable wages. He looked unfit and overweight, but we will need some experience and leadership. Appreciate he didnt necessarily lead by example fron what we saw, but the character references from previous clubs are positive enough. I'd be hopeful with a proper pre season he'd be a positive asset.
