I agree but thats a stylistic argument. My point is that using AI to assist with content shouldn't invalidate the posters points. Some people seem very keen to point out a post being "AI" or "Chat GPT", so whilst of course that removes the "human" factor, it can still be a totally faithful representation of the posters beliefs.

Even so, why does that matter, and why does it need pointing out?

You can question the tactical change, but Southampton were finding absolute acres of space in midfield and down our left hand side for the whole second half even before then. The fitness levels aren't there, and the absolute basics of defending aren't there. Changing to a back 5 doesn't result in Thomas brainlessly barging his winger over, it doesnt result in Nelson watching balls over his head and getting blown over by a breath of wind, it doesnt result in a scuffed corner reaching the penalty spot and an unmarked Southampton head. The team is broken and has no desire to do the absolute basics.

Its a well worn trope on here, but all Yak did was score goals. His work rate and impact in general play was practically nil.

Definitely a risk worth taking. Newcastle fans won't say a bad word about him, and he was one of the few players who showed up for them when they were in the doldrums. Hopefully he can stay fit, because he'll walk into the side, and the type of player who can hopefully drag performances out of those alongside him.

Thought he was poor tbh. Far too casual on the ball, and allows strikers to peel off him too easily. Having said that, the environment at the club isnt conducive to success. He'd benefit hugely from having a steady presence or leader alongside him, which none of our other defenders are.

No names, but i'd imagine an Interim until end of season of the "knows the league" type with the remit of avoiding relegation. Someone who can tighten up the basics enough. Then summer hope we can luck in to a Middlesbrough/ Hull type appointnent given they are models for struggling clubs turning it around quickly, although we are probably going to be hamstrung by recruitment, or lack of. People suggesting managers purely based on being a thug as a player or a bully to knock players heads together wont cut it. Someone to get the team organised defensively and with an ability to get our few genuine quality players on the ball enough in dangerous areas is sufficient in the short term.
