  1. Just watching it back on Match of the day and they highlighted Fulhams defensive midfielder Sander Berge, breaking up our play, much like Ndidi did for us years ago. Then the next frame you just see Fulham drive through our midfield without any challenge whatsoever. Both Winks and Soumare offered absolutely nothing to protect our backline. Both casually jogging back, no urgency. The defense is weak, we all know this. But to have sod all cover or desire in the middle of the pitch... this is where it's all falling apart for us. We have no strength or backbone at all. Not condoning Winks here at all, because he's been stinking the place out as much as anyone. But he had Ndidi and KDH breaking up play in front of him last season, also Ricky P dropping in along side him when he could, to offer more protection for the midfield. This enabled Winks a bit of time to get his foot on the ball and control the game. Soumare has skill on the ball clearly and can drive forward with it. But off the ball he is absolutely honking and I've not seen any improvement in this area at all. Can the management not see this? Boils my piss. Im as lost as RVN is at this point. But the buck stops with him... his tactics, his motivation... its such a far cry from the attention to detail and confidence from Maresca 😭
  2. What's the issue with cancelling his loan? So it's a season long loan without the ability to cancel? FML
  3. This was very much a Pearson, Shakespeare, Walsh thing... it was about mentality just as much as skill. They also introduced a players wellbeing therapist If I remember correctly. If a player was deemed a bad egg/disruptive in the group, they were gone, despite their skill (Marshall was a glaringly obvious one). *Edit: jyst to add, our recruitment department needs a complete overhaul, bar the occasional gem, it's been largely dreadful... its destroying this club.
  4. You know we don't do this here... Post logical, well thought out responses... you must fall in line and join the mob RUUD out, he's shit, they are shit, its all shit its someone's fault!
  5. Hamza is sadly not a premier league player, I've not seen anything bar one good game to suggest otherwise, quite why he's on so much money is beyond me. He does put effort in at times and has pulled off some impressive last ditch tackles. But his positioning and awareness/reading of the game is generally poor. Then the off pitch crap...hmmm Definitely not the answer to our RB problems, I'd be happy if he was sold on.
  6. Sky sports mentioned the rumour, but also said there has been no official approach as of yet.
  7. But if Winks gets injured and Ndidi is still out. I'd hate a run in the side for Skipp... we look so passive and weak in midfield with him there. KDH would be way better = Improvement, I'd be happy with him returning on loan. Skipp IMO has been a huge mistake, he's Andy King Mk2 (No disrespect Kingy), steady, but not quite good enough for the Premier league. Agree other areas are a priority.
  8. KDH is better than Skipp. With the injuries we've had KDH would be welcome squad depth. Always puts in a shift. Would track better than Soumare too. But defense is in need of new blood way more than our midfield ATM. RB and CB are an absolute must, or we are toast.
  9. Hazy memory, but didn't he do ok at Derby years ago?
  10. some people just can't do humour!
  11. Yeah, we get an occasional glimpse of a player every 15 games or so... but on the whole, has never really shown enough consistent ability to play in this team. No footballing brain whatsoever. Add to that all the off field antics and It's staggering he's a regular starter and captain . Why is it only the fans can see this though?
  12. My mate
  13. Poor subs
  14. Ipswich desere that, we have been dreadful in the second half
  15. Missed the post match interviews! And with all the talk on how deluded Martin was in his.... I'm now intrigued to see it! Anywhere to watch these yet? Or will it be waiting for highlights on ITV later today?
  16. I also didn't realise he'd just taken that job... but he built a good team with Brighton and got them promoted. Would prefer him over 80% of names mentioned so far. There's an awful lot to process and navigate. Yes we want someone in the prepare asap, but this isnt something we should rush IMO.
  17. And if he does that, then he doesnt want it enough for me. I want someone in that doesnt want to jump ship at the earliest possible sniff of a bigger club. Difficult I know in this day and age...
  18. First choice for me is definitely Potter, he has experience of winning things and gaining promotion (albeit in a different league/country). I feel he'd be a good fit. Failing that Id love Pearson Back, but not sure he would come. He knows how to build a squad of hungry players. 3rd choice Id stick with Smith... definitely over the likes of Gerard, Marsch, Lampard. Rafa doesn't excite me at all. Whats Chris Hughton doing these days?
  19. There's definitely Suphanat in this
  20. Huth got his badges yet?! Wasileski as motivator Completely out of ideas here
  21. We really are in deep, deep sh*t
  22. Amazing what a bit of confidence can do huh!
  23. We played much better today, there was desire to make space and close down, something we've struggled with this season. We had by far the lions share of it today.. shame we couldn't nik a goal. Improvement none the less.
