Rosenior is a non-starter if Strasbourg make Europe. If they don't, it could be interesting with Ligue 1 in a bit of a financial mess. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6281404/2025/04/15/ligue-1-tv-rights-dazn-contract/

I can see him doing well there and an ambitious midtable club getting excited because of the style of play, thinking he's learned from his time at Southampton.
-
I hope one of you is right. Our board needs saving from itself. The problem is that they panic if they don't get their first choice - hence Potter to Cooper in about two minutes.
-
The only thing that saves us from Martin is if a CFG club want him.
-
After Dortmund and Leipzig, you'd think he would walk into a decent Bundesliga job. Hassenhüttl is apparently on the brink at Wolfsburg and they're a more attractive prospect than us in the Championship, you would think. I'd take him, but not sure it'd be reciprocated.

RVN did a decent job with PSV as well. It would be a risk.

According to Grok... Sheffield Wednesday fans' dissatisfaction with manager Danny Röhl stems from several issues highlighted in recent reports and social media sentiment, though the extent and reasons vary among supporters. Here are the primary factors: Poor Recent Form and Home Performances: The team has struggled with a string of disappointing results, including a 2-0 loss to Stoke City and a 1-0 defeat to Oxford United at home, extending their wait for a Hillsborough victory since New Year's Day. Fans have expressed frustration over the team's inability to convert dominant performances into wins, with a notable failure to score from 22 shots against Coventry City. The fourth-worst defensive record in the Championship and a run of five games without a win have further fueled discontent. Tactical and Recruitment Criticism: Some fans and observers have questioned Röhl's tactical approach, accusing him of being overly rigid with his high-pressing, attacking style, which they argue doesn't suit the current squad. Recruitment in the summer and January transfer windows has been labeled "awful" by certain supporters, with the team failing to address defensive weaknesses. Röhl's squad rotation has also been criticized for disrupting player confidence and cohesion. Speculation Over Röhl's Commitment: Rumors linking Röhl to Southampton, particularly since November 2024, have led some fans to believe he has "half a foot out the door," potentially affecting player focus and team morale. This perception was exacerbated by reports of a possible move to the Premier League club, though Röhl has publicly dismissed these as distractions. Off-Field Issues Amplify Frustration: The ongoing unrest with owner Dejphon Chansiri, including unpaid players and staff due to cashflow issues, has created a tense atmosphere. While much of the fanbase directs their anger at Chansiri—evidenced by protests and fans turning their backs during matches—some criticism has spilled over to Röhl for failing to maintain momentum amid these challenges. However, it's worth noting that not all fans are unhappy with Röhl. Many still view him favorably for his remarkable turnaround in the 2023/24 season, securing Championship survival, and his connection with the fanbase, often praising their "unbelievable" support. Some argue the current squad lacks the quality to execute his vision, and the broader issues with ownership overshadow his efforts. The sentiment is mixed, with frustration largely driven by recent results and external pressures rather than a complete rejection of Röhl's leadership. For context, these observations are drawn from recent analyses and posts on X, reflecting the mood as of April 2025.

He's worked under some good managers in Germany as well. Say what you will about the Red Bull setup, but they know how to run a club and his time with Leipzig, as well as at Bayern, is promising. It would mean the slightly depressing scenario of me being older than the manager, never mind the players, but I'd take it.

The one we need to win really. Thankfully, they're even more abject than us and not exactly a paragon of good club management themselves. This is where the material things come in - we'll certainly pay him more than Sheffield Wednesday and be able to offer a better squad (stop laughing, they're cack and it's a wonder they're not in League One), so it'll come down to what he can deal with in the summer and whether he can continue integrating academy players.

The only one I wouldn't take is Martin, who's the one who'll end up here. -
Liverpool H 0-1 Post Match Thread. We are relegated.

Comfortably the worst season in my over thirty years of supporting the club. Let's break down the relegations. 94-95: A team with very little quality but plenty of endeavour and effort. A couple of decent results such as beating Man City away, a thriller away at Villa Park and beating a decent Arsenal side. 01-02: Horrible season from start to finish. At least we beat Derby and closed Filbert Street with a win. 03-04: Another team that tried with some absolutely mental results like the 4-0 win against Leeds courtesy of a Nalis thunderbastard and a 3-0 win at Man City, albeit when they were shit. 07-08: A manager a week, couldn't score and bottlers. At least we could defend and saw the Andy King breakthrough. 22-23: Really shouldn't have gone down. Gutless. Sticking with Rodgers too long was fatal, but did at least have a decent mid-season spell. 24-25: Nothing positive whatsoever. Not even a single good performance by the team and not one stand out performer. -
Protect the loss.

His value has definitely dipped since the injury, though. He couldn't catch clap from Lily Blue nowadays.
-
Trouble is that the guaranteed route of Mads to Maresca's Chelsea is blocked if the latter gets the sack. Then he becomes harder to sell.
-
Last year would have been the perfect time for him to go. Won the lot with us, relegated and then scored the goals to get us straight back. It would have been the perfect ending. Get that statue built, name a stand after him and give him freedom of the city, but not a new contract. All good things come to an end, and this relationship has now reached that point.
-
A training cone would be better, but then the training cone didn't stand up to Ruud.
-
Not sure sending them running across the M1 to test their pace and mobility is wise, even if they are useful as a cock-flavoured lollipop.
-
I think everyone knows Vardy is finished, but the near limitless credit he has in the bank means that he's never going to criticised the way that bums like Ayew and Reid are criticised.
-
Might be OK if they pay most/all his wages.
-
This makes me think we'll have plenty on the flanks if we get in manager who knows how to use them. Thomas/Coulibaly and Mavididi on one side, Justin/Ricardo and Fatawu on the other. Plenty of mobility there.
-
VK did alright with Bologna. I think we can sell him to a Serie A side.
-
Worth keeping for next season in my view. Local lad and academy product who could do a job in the right side.
-
Bobby Reid definitely has footage of Ruud doing unspeakable things with livestock. It's the only way he's getting picked.
-
Get it done sooner rather than later. We're already a fortnight behind Southampton in the manager search as it is.
