I think at this point, you have to ask if it's the managers at all when the only manager to get a tune out of this squad was in the division below, and even then they still took a couple of months just dossing around. We've got the most unprofessional squad going, who just down tools every time a manager tries to actually manage them, and go crying to Aiyawatt about how they're expected to work for their pay cheque. RvN is clearly not good enough as a tactician but at this point, you might as well keep him and clear the decks fully in the summer, strip the squad to it's bare bones and fully reset the attitude in the club.

he is unfortunately not good enough for the top flight any more, yes he's isolated by the system but he's also always a yard behind when it does come to him. That however is on a complete lack of succession planning from all involved. We've signed one replacement in 5 years in Daka and he's been so woefully mismanaged in the early days under Brendan that he's never recovered (fans getting on his back at everything is not helping). He should be the second or third choice off the bench every so often, not a starter, that he is a starter and we have no one better is the fault of a series of managers and the clown who directs our football

I don't know anyone who didn't want Cooper because he was specifically at forest, the objection based on his time at forest would have been the same if it were Bournemouth or Brentford he'd been at, because it was built around his performance at forest, how they'd have probably got more points away from home if they'd just stayed home and hoped a meteor flattened the opposition ground at kickoff and how he seemed to have no tactical plan besides pray for luck. there's an interesting question of whether people subconsciously focused more on those flaws because he's ex forest, but it wasn't really a straight up "he's ex forest, don't want him" attitude
