Personally I think the uncertainty with the match coinciding with the end of the transfer window, and that window possibly involving a number of potential starters on Tuesday makes this game very tricky. I think it might get worse before it gets better 😬

Tbf MK are predicted to be in the play offs this season. Don’t judge teams by how they set up against us. We are most teams fa cup final but a ‘final’ where a draw is a win for them.

3 games mate with a new manager. 3 games including one when we played the majority of the match with 10 men. At a time when we have a massive number of players still with us who are leaving and where we are playing kids at a higher level than most have experienced. We can’t change the owner overnight but the team is delivering what has been asked by the fans in terms of line up. Martin is playing the kids and playing to their strengths which is playing with the ball at their feet and not percentage ball. Hopefully results will come as the players develop, if not we know how this ends in terms of Martin but he and the team need way more than 3 games to have a fair chance. At the same time yes we all want a new, better owner!

Gaslighting? wtf are you on about mate 🤣. I get you don’t rate Martin. I actually sense you hate the guy but you don’t talk for me. Considering the depths we have plummeted to, I had no issue with Martin being appointed. I generally like the style of football he plays like I liked the style of football Enzo played. I don’t agree with everything he does but then I don’t think there’s a manager out there that we all will ever agree with. I genuinely don’t know what you want mate. The club sale and the owners leaving doesn’t mean the football stops. In this period when everyone wants the owner to sell up m, including me, I will still support the team and applaud effort on the pitch and call out a lack of effort on the pitch. Your last paragraph, basically suggesting that anyone who doesn’t agree with your opinion and might support the team on the pitch in a positive way is less honest or lacking in pride suggests it’s you that needs to ‘Wake up.’

Why is Martin poison? Purely because he’s been appointed by Top? Or because he’s been sacked by Rangers? There’s been positives with his recruitment - he’s playing the kids - for those who have some involvement in coaching they’ll recognise he plays interesting challenging football, much like Enzo did. It might fail but so did Rowett pragmatic ball. Honest question - Is there any manager you’d be happy with whilst Top is still here? Or do you want all football to pause and no manager appointed until a new owner is found?

The point is, that’s not the fault of the players playing yesterday or a manager trying to rebuild a decimated squad. Two things can exist at the same time - acknowledging a positive performance from a young team that deserved more than a point doesn’t mean anyone approves of the ownership or mismanagement of the club.

Theirs is a desperation for Martin to fail for many fans on here that entirely skews their opinion of a game. My mindset is that with our squad of many untested kids playing, after two terrible seasons and a downward momentum courtesy of Top anc Rudkin, we are not entitled to win anything. This is not directly Martin’s fault. He has inherited a lot of problems and it’s too early to call for his sacking, particularly when there has been a clear improvement in performances.

The fact you only point to negatives in what was a positive performance suggests you want him to fail?

Braybrooke, Joseph and Page played again and looked great. We had 24 shots - hit the woodwork twice. They didn’t threaten. Their GK was MOTM. A lot of people are so desperate to get him sacked that everything is viewed in the negative. Bizarre at this stage of the season, particularly considering the rebuild being undertaken.

I just don’t see how he can be criticised today. Played the kids, lots of effort, played good football, created lots of chances, didn’t look like letting in a goal.

I wasn’t against Martin getting the job particularly considering the division we are in but then I also enjoyed Enzo’s style of play! I don’t agree that nobody wanted him. The passing style of play that Martin uses ultimately suits the young lads we have that people have been desperate to see play - Braybrooke, Joseph, Page, , Alves, Howell, Watson, Aluko etc. These young lads aren’t built for percentage get it forward hoofball. If you want the kids to play then accept this is the way it is.

You know for a fact that most of the players we have paid a fee for are his choice alone?
