The winger position is usually shared now so whoever starts and finishes isn’t necessarily the same every match. The key thing is they all impact the game. I thought Watson was alright today. I personally prefer Alves at the moment but I can see how they switch due to a difference in styles. Out of the 4 wingers Burns needs to step it up the most. We get brief flashes from him but there’s a reluctance to take on his man, a lot of mistakes and he doesn’t look fully fit.

Braybrooke MOTM, Page not far off tbf -
Give Bristric a chance ffs
-
I’m just pointing out the fact that lots of chances were created. That’s not getting carried away with anything
-
24 shots including hitting the woodwork twice kind’ve contradicts your sarcasm tbf.

Not bollocks. Firstly when dominating a game you CAN play on the counter attack - and most importantly we DID play on the counter attack at times whilst dominating possession. But we are never going to be able to play pure counter attacking football against MK Dons ffs. They don’t want the ball, even against other league 1 teams. We will have the majority of the ball against the majority of the teams whether you like it or not. This is not Leicester winning the league as underdogs in 15/16 when everyone was trying to beat us for two thirds of the season
-
Yeh let’s play counter attacking football against teams that haven’t got players of the same ability, who are happy to play a low block, that don’t want the ball and will take a point against us even at home. 🤪
-
I thought we absolutely dominated that game, including lots of shots. Played some lovely football, had starting wingers and finishing wingers. Played lots of the kids. Everyone worked really hard with maximum effort and we just couldn’t get the ball in the net. Finishing is an issue for sure but wow the criticism on here. To moan at a young team after that performance and slag off the manager and demand his sacking at this stage of the season is just crazy.

No chance. Wallington played in an era where goalies didn’t need to use their feet as they could pick up back passes. The benchmark for a modern LCFC gk is Schmeichel.
-
He’s not at the club though! It’s a completely irrelevant point that you keep driving home. We get you rate Mads. I personally don’t think he’s that much better than Stolarcyck. Schmeichel should be our benchmark not Mads.
-
You’ve got Mads on this massive pedestal he doesn’t really deserve mate, unless you are Mads? Not many people said Stolarrcyk was better and those that did were just referencing the comparative form after Stolarcyck had a great game against Spurs and then was dropped and then Mads struggled until the end of the season and was sold. Mads is a good keeper but he also makes lots of mistakes, doesn’t command his box at corners (he stays rooted to his line) and isn’t even the best keeper in The Championship. Southampton’s Peretz is superior for a start.

Chaplin gave him an earful at one point after he’d made a mistake and let the ball run past him, hopefully at that point Howell told him to fcuk off and sort his own game out! -
I was just pointing out that your analogy wasn’t really relevant. The fact that a keeper we had to sell when we were relegated is better than the keeper we have now is irrelevant to the situation we have now. What we have now is a young keeper with a mistake in him and an old keeper with a mistake in him. I’d go for the young one, what about you? Stolarcyck or McCarthy? Neither is not the answer as these two are our options for the season.
-
Vardy is miles better than BDCR. Mark Draper is miles better than Oliver Skipp. 🤷🏻♂️
-
He isn’t going anywhere. We are stuck between him and McCarthy. I’d personally play Stolarcyck - better with his feet, at an age where he can improve rather than a keeper who can’t play with his feet, who is at retirement age and who has a majority history of being a back up keeper in McCarthy.
-
Had some fabulous touches at times, real incisive stuff, lost the ball quite a bit in the 2nd half too probably as he tired. Clearly the better option than Skipp.
-
And Schmeichel was miles better than him.
-
Hermansen is not perfect, ask WHam fans
-
McCarthy won’t last the full season as 1st Choice. He very rarely does. Stolarcyck is a better keeper, he’s at the stage in his career when he can improve and he’s better with his feet. I’m not saying Stolarcyck should be our number 1 in an ideal world but when he’s up against McCarthy and Blackpool’s 3rd choice keeper, he starts for me.
-
He’s better than McCarthy
-
He’s better than McCarthy. He actually makes saves. Saved a point blank shot from Akbom and a one on one with the same striker. Balls just roll past McCarthy into the net (see both goals v Burton.) McCarthy is Ward V2.
-
You seriously blaming him for that last goal?
-
My main criticism from tonight has been the suicidal playing out from the back. I don’t mind playing with some risk from there but Martin’s style is so risky, so reliant on intricate threaded passes that it’s very likely to end at some point in an error and a goal opportunity. I don’t think you’ll ever see more risk on a pitch than Martin-ball
