  1. We haven’t really got specialist LW replacement for Mavididi but he was so poor in the 1st half (following on after a poor second half against Sheff Wed) that he was always likely to be subbed off. Cannon always looks threatening when he plays and I thought he did ok but ultimately we aren’t spoilt for choice on that side.
  2. Daka missed a sitter, Vesty missed 2 sitters, Vardy missed a sitter. 3 of those were somehow skewed off target when it was easier to hit the target. We were the better team over 90 minutes but couldn’t score. We weren’t as good as we can be and Boro did well, I thought their midfield in particular were good but ultimately it was a case of one team scoring almost every chance they had and the other team seemingly unable to hit a donkey’s arse with a banjo today.
  3. I’ve not said that the crowd shouldn’t play a role in spurring the players on. They do and ideally they’d do it better but the reality is they are often experiencing the same anxiety that the players are experiencing on the pitch. The reality is that the atmosphere is better when a team is winning, that’s always been the case at Leicester and I’d wager at every club.
  4. You can’t compare any match based sport to a race, totally different situation irrespective of betting and I’d suggest if your horse has fallen or is miles of the lead then you aren’t literally jumping around anyway. The crowd still do get behind as much as possible in football when things are going badly but inevitably it won’t always be in the same numbers as when a team is winning or defending like dogs in a giant killing act. Players make mistakes and get nervy as they are human, fans can get nervy, agitated and panicky watching the same situation as they are also human. At a home match you aren’t always going to get the perfect atmosphere when the team are losing or under the cosh because like on the pitch the situation can get fraught. Leeds have a reputation of having a fantastic atmosphere at their old fashioned ground that lends itself better to creating a cauldron of noise but they can go quiet, and start getting on at their players. Bamford has had dogs abuse from the side of the pitch when things are going badly.
  5. Plenty of us in H1 join in with the songs we know. Some of the more complicated ones are difficult to pick up and so they are sang less. I don’t know why people get so stressed though. The atmosphere ebbs and flows depending on what’s going on on the pitch. When we are playing great and creating lots of opportunities the atmosphere is loud. When we started looking nervy, the crowd get nervy. When the team are playing for time then the atmosphere drops. Sheff Wed fans were loud at the point that they were in the ascendency, when they were getting outplayed they were quiet.
  6. Doesn’t work with the athletic anymore tbf
  7. He can do a job as a RW tbf and even tho he looked out of place on the left, he occupied his fullback and allowed Mavididi to have a bit of a rest before Wednesday on Tuesday
  8. I think the rumours that a certain number of appearances results in an obligation to buy is perhaps why Yunus isn’t getting game time. With Enzo now aware of our FFP restrictions and having some reservations about his all round game, he’s benching him to maximise his budget at the end of the season? Shame really as he was starting to look very good. Praet didn’t do much wrong today but Yunus is more of a goal threat.
  9. Referee having a big impact. He’s allowing Watford to be very physical with Daka. Some strange inconsistency with his decision making and his approach to giving the advantage seems to differ if it’s Watford. McAteer and Fatawu having scruffy games at the moment.
  10. Ref having a shocker.
  11. Vontae Daley-Campbell Released at the start of Feb by Cardiff
  12. He’s been arguably our best player this season alongside Winks and as such he deserves a contract offer for next season. It’s more a case of whether he’ll be happy with the terms the club will be able to afford in light of the new FFP regs. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  13. Mads Faes Vestergaard JJ Ricky P Winks Fatawu Yunus KDH Mavididi Cannon
  14. And it was a clickbait comedy fake 😂
  15. Key player as in back up for Akgun until Ndidi is back
  16. The one positive from yet another Leicester City deadline day absolute shit show is that this gives more opportunity for Akgun to cement a place in the team. He looks miles ahead of Praet with regards to urgency, to pressing off the ball and ability on the ball and he can score a goal or two.
  17. Hes the most experienced at delivering regular no-look starfishes tbf.
  18. Yeh I get what people are saying about Praet. He’s never fit, seemed to be blowing after 25 mins. He was anonymous yesterday (and generally) and seem to pull out of challenges, BUT (and it is a BIG but) he did once do that fab assist to the assist against Brentford in the FA Cup and as such he should be front of queue for any Statues - ahead even of Goat Vardy.
  19. If Caicedo is worth £100m then KDH has to be worth more than £30m.

    Daka

Worse thing is he stays down, slowing and stopping the game usually when we have the momentum. If he could sort that fragility out, also his trampoline first touch, his finishing (at times) and his strange chasing and closing down of a player that involves him letting the opponent with the ball get past and ahead of him, then that would be great!
  21. Very half hearted in challenging and pressing the ball, Yunus came on and showed him how to do it. The swapping of Praet for Akgun swung the game back in our favour.
  22. They aren’t tho? They are getting half a million for a player with 6 months of his contract left
  23. Yeh now they’ve traded that for 5 years of Tielemans sitting on a £150k a week contract until the bitter end.
  24. He’d be mad to go to those teams now anyway.
