  1. Two reasons why Hamza was in the 11. AFCON and Chelsea loan shithousery.
  2. Give him the full 90 mins in the FA Cup in the number 8 role, he shows flashes of quality but I worry about his physicality and size. What he needs is good enough game time to get into the rhythm of the team.
  3. Yeh he can’t play for them until 4th Feb!
  4. Poch didn’t mention the minutes tbf, just Percy. Poch was quoted as saying he was happy with Casadei and his performances were the factor in deciding he deserved a chance.
  5. This is bang on.
  6. There was no reason why they couldn’t have waited until after the Ipswich game considering the lack of notice given to Leicester and considering Chelsea didn’t have a game Casadei could play in until February 4th. It’s a lack of respect shown to a team that was giving their inexperienced player significant game time. I’d steer clear of doing any loan business with Chelsea in the future.
  7. Yeh undoubtedly we contributed significantly to our own problems but I thought Burns, Luongo, Harness and Jackson created a lot of challenges for our back line last night that occupied them and prevented us from being as effective at breaking the press. We are tactically a difficult team to play against, but Ipswich were instigating individual runs and dummy runs off the ball at all times that were clearly pre-planned, well drilled and created chaos at times. This was emphasised later when they were replaced with fresh legs and the ineffective Chaplin was hooked for additional pace. They were playing a team with better players but those 4 and their replacements were absolutely key to them staying in the game and wearing us out physically and mentally. I thought they were tactically one of the strongest teams we’ve seen at The KP. Thru knew they couldn’t go toe to toe but had a game plan that ended up being very effective.
  8. I think most people that rant about the atmosphere have already made their mind up that the atmosphere is bad before they even go to the game! I thought last night the atmosphere was pretty good, particularly considering in that 2nd half the team weren’t playing at their best and were under the cosh against a very well instructed team. The best atmospheres are created by the football on the pitch. Even then the main singing has always come from specific areas and not the full stadia. Those of us old enough to remember Filbert Street know most of the noise came from the Kop (and at times the atmosphere was far far worse than it is now - Pleat era for example.) To improve the atmosphere, I think all of the fans who want to sing throughout the game (and presumably are moaning on here) need to relocate to as close to the the UFS area as they can.The increase in number will increase the volume and those of us who join in a bit sat elsewhere will join in even more. A bigger number around the UFS area will perhaps encourage the club to find a suitable location to have a safe standing area in the future.
  9. Tbf Enzo asked a lot of him last night. Playing the inverted full back role, then asking him to play it coming from the left and also needing him to cover the marauding runs/dummy runs from Burns. Ipswich were tactically very good last night, I’d say tactically they played with more intelligence than a good number of Premier League teams (credit to their manager) and that made it a really difficult night for Hamza as much mentally as it was physically.
  10. A true fans player. He played as many games for Leicester City’s first 11 as the vast majority of those of us who watch at the KP. A Leicester City footballer in touch with the common man. Thanks Alex
  11. Yeh, course. I’ve already ordered 4 of them - absolutely guaranteed to pay out £4K per top as the 25 games he played for us will be pivotal to the inevitable World Cup win.
  12. Just been added to the online shop. Sales of a shirt with a Chelsea player on it could rival Danny Ward’s signed shirt from last season. Absolute bargain at just £400.
  13. One of Chelsea’s favourite AM’s Frank Lampard was mainly a deeper lying striker who didn’t offer that much as a normal midfielder tbf. Butch Casadei could emulate that as he gets in good positions to score and he’s outstanding in the air. He struggled with the pace of our game tho and he didn’t like tracking back. He also needs to look after the ball better, it always seems to be miles ahead of him when it’s in his possession. He got dispossessed so often partly because of this.
  14. What’s the Portuguese for ‘No Look Starfish?’
  15. He didn’t play at the the same level as Neil Lewis but another promising fullback who disappeared from view was Kerrea Gilbert. He had a great season for us in League One and then didn’t really kick on.
  16. The height of William’s tackle makes it far more dangerous than the Fatawu one. Fatawu slid along the floor and his foot was very low. This isn’t going to cause any damage to the players leg.The Bristol City lad went in high studs up with much more potential to injure his opponent.
  17. Presumably any new loan for Thomas this season would mean Sheff United would no longer need to cover part of his wage.
  18. I thought the game passed him by a bit if I’m being honest. The number 8 is such a key role in this system and particularly when the wingers are being occupied, they have to step up and it just didn’t happen for him today.
  19. It’s not that Top hasn’t got the money, the new FFP rules mean we can’t just buy players. A 3 year set of accounts that will 2 years of losses combined with a 3rd year relegation means things are tight.
  20. Appalling refereeing performance. Massively Inconsistent, influenced by the crowd, badly positioned (at times blocking plays) and blind to O’Hare’s diving.
  21. The confusing thing about O’Hare is he could be a Premier League level player but he’s rocking a non-league o’hair cut.
  22. Shinji is a Leicester legend. To be honest though, I thought Yuki Abe was very underwhelming for us.
  23. McAteer has only been out because of injury tbf. He would’ve been heavily part of the rotation and I guess he will be if he can ever stay fit.
  24. Allison has been outstanding in the two games he’s been in charge of at the KP. He quietly goes about his business and is decisive but treats players with respect. It was noticeable players didn’t complain about decisions, perhaps because they know he was a decent footballer himself and knows all the tricks that are played and probably because of how he communicates with them. It also has to be said that we don’t really have a shithouse in our team and nor did Huddersfield. The real test will be when he has to referee a Notts Forest game and comes up against a true master of shithousery in Yates. None of the refs I’ve seen can’t cope with his persistent conning, play acting and blatant cheating,
