Other than their goal I felt we hammered them for 40mins. I thought they would have kept the ball a lot better than they have.

He started off well, made some good tackles, won a couple of headers and looked tidy in possession with simple passes. At the end of the first half he misjudged a ball coming over his head and at the start of the second half Stoke targeted him but he seemed to settle down and again look fairly solid. I wanna see more from Hamza, I like him and think once he gets confident we will see a much better player. He has bags of pace so I wanna see him bomb forward now and again and he’s so good at mopping up balls over the top or played in behind. He deserves credit in our second goal because he made a positive move forward in his left cb spot by taking his man on and playing it inside which led to the goal. He did well today but I think there’s a much better player in him, interesting to see how he develops under Enzo!

I think he’s not even playing at the top of his game right now and he’s leading the stats, so how impressive is that! I didn’t take offence to the ear cupping, felt more of a let me hear you scream type of thing.

The second goal was woeful from Hull’s pov. Hull’s Connelly and Delap both half-assed pressed the Ipswich gk in his own box and a simple pass later Ipswich broke free. Hull clearly ain’t showing Ipswich the same amount of respect against us? Or they had to attack more because of the 1st early goal (I missed the first 20 odd mins at the start)?

Riccy P needs a rest I think. Looked a bit laboured on possession the past couple of games.

This ref is giving everything against us so far. We can’t even touch them. We’re looking way too casual and need a rocket up them at half time! Especially our midfield players.

I remember ppl were still sticking up for him on here and at the KP after he was being called out for watching this gassed up guy lumber around the pitch. So glad to have a new 8 who actually looks mobile. Harsh on Winks because not only mobile but been great all round for us so far!!

So disappointed with this lad so far.

I had big hopes for Nacho this season but he’s been so unimpressive. Tonight he could have slipped in McAteer 3 or so times in the first half but couldn’t see the pass. Looks slow, struggling to hold up ball and minimal movement. Needs a kick up the backside and not make next squad.

We made loads of changes and expected a lot of our starters to struggle but that performance from Riccy P and Nacho was honking. Nacho especially this season has woefully underperformed this season.

Ref completely did him tonight with that handball against him. He was clean through but the ref called a bs decision. Lucky it didn’t bite us on our arse!! Really like this lad and think he’s got loads more to give!

He needs to improve his body shape when he gets in behind.

Shame about their goal, them punting it long is what we want them to do but I have no idea what Doyle was doing. Ndidi’s goal is vital so far!!

Probably unfortunate we didn’t concede another against Cov but all the other games we limited teams to very few chances. We’re doing good defensively, just need to be better at creating chances.

Covs chances were from tight angles and not that clear cut. Teams will create chances against us but to say we crap defensively is just not right. We’re largely in control every game but we struggle to create solid opportunities due to teams deep blocks. That’s our season so far

Shocking opposition strikers! We’ve defended really well in our 5 games. Half of the goals scored against us (2) were exceptional finishes (Cardiff & Rotherham), Hull deflected goal and yea our defending was really poor for the Cov goal. Can ppl stop making out we have been this lucky team not to have conceded more when in fact the stats say teams have been very clinical with the little chances they have created. Anyway Southampton will be a good test to see where we are but after watching both teams play I think we’re more solid and will get a win.

Vester does get a bit of stick which he doesn’t deserve this season, he’s done well, but he has to make himself bigger when that shot comes in but he does the opposite and turns sideways making himself smaller. Still unlucky how it deflected into the bottom corner tho. Doyle has been fine, there will moments when he gets skinned or a player will cut inside against him, this will happen to every player in the whole sport, if it was happening constantly I’d be worried but I’ve seen several times that he can hold his own and win plenty from attacking players.

That’s 5.0 Xg in all the games we’ve played soo far. Which is joint 5th lowest in the league. Barring Cov where they created some break away tight angled chances (where our keeper made two great saves) we really have limited teams to not many chances at all. For me you’re not going to stop every cross into the box or win every header and the Rotherham goal was a glancing header from a player who just managed to get in front of Doyle and striker managed to get the perfect connection on the ball to put it in the bottom corner, that chance would have been easier to miss or be saved than score. The Hull goal was soft because I felt Vester could have made himself bigger to block the weakly hit shot but it was very unlucky for us it deflected like that right into the bottom corner. I don’t remember the Cardiff 1v1 unless you meant the header chance their striker had?
