Sure did. Poor championship finishing, what you don't get away with in the Premier league. I look past the results.

It's a tricky one for me. Watching us under Maresca was just as awful as the guff we are dishing up under Cooper. Would we have more points under Maresca, maybe but I haven't forgotten how bad we were defensively under Maresca. It could be argued that Maresca would have done no better v villa, spuds and the gunners and that Cooper would have got results at home against Hull and Blackburn, amongst many others. They both dish up football that is hard to watch. Maresca just had the fortune to play against championship dross.

Worked in a Notts hotel mnay moons ago. All the new forest signings stayed there until they found permanent digs. Of all the footballers I met there, and there were many, he was one of the nicest. Always polite, always had time for people, just a genuinely nice fella. I remember one evening a group of nurses having a pop at him for earning so much for kicking a ball around. You know the kind of thing. The way he dealt with that situation just always stuck with me. Brilliant player but a better bloke.

Deflated? Quite the opposite. We now have the possibility of watching some get you out of your seat football. Wish him all the best but miss him, nah not me. He won't miss us either.

Is it bad that I don't care if he stays or goes. The football whilst fruitful on the points front has been a turgid hard watch, with very few inspiring performances.
