  1. I log onto FoxesTalk and slate Rudkin
  2. That’s exactly the point about their incompetence. Most decent businesses have a succession plan. A football club absolutely needs one as the manager can leave with little or no notice, or dramatically underperform. A well run club / competent DOF, has already earmarked and started relationship building with 2-3 options for the position who will have minimal disruption to the clearly defined plan the club is following. We wait until we need a manager, see who’s local / available / applies for the job / agent calls, and pick from those. We’re reactive and have no plan. It’s really sad to see but the board and owner are clueless, reactive, and unprofessional.
  3. Fans reacted too positively to him being linked
  4. Hmmmm … Don’t want to get into semantics but legacy literally means what you leave behind. It could easily be argued that Khun Vichai’s legacy was the reason for a few more years of success, until that effect wore off and Top / Rudkin’s tenure took hold. I’m sure the truth is, as usual, somewhere in the middle of those two poles
  5. loyalty to someone literally wrecking the club, relegation, financial mismanagement and appointing Cooper might be factors?
  6. I was just about to reply to Chelmo: ”You’ll summon the Babylon with talk like this” The Babylon “Rudkin Injustice Detector” is too quick for me though!!!
  7. I’ll take a bet now that JV starts 20 league games or less in his entire new 3 year contract.
  8. Maybe. But my money is on Rudkin & Top on holiday / getting on top of their inbox before starting the search
  9. Then it’s the latest chapter of “Stupid Ideas” by JR Rudkin
  10. Argh were they? Fair enough
  11. He had the tactical nouse to appoint Carrick and McKenna his assistants
  12. Yeah I was also at that game and we spent the whole time talking about Mike Walker … MON wasn’t in the running at all. When the rumours started I remember everyone being delighted and not giving a hoot about Forest
  13. MON was an exciting appointment that almost everyone (I knew anyway) wanted, not really the same as an average uninspiring manager that may be good enough for some
  14. And that’s from someone happy with Nuno, who Wolves fans love but found the football dull!!!
  15. Unfortunately I think you’re absolutely right and we now have to recalibrate our expectations. It’s really sad, the well run club died with Khun Vichai
  16. Let’s hope he gets to use those caveats!
  17. If it’s all true, it really spotlights the incompetence (again) at Board level
  18. Why RVN?? ”So our 37 year old out of contract striker can learn off him” Sorry, but that’s the worst justification for recruiting a manager ever!
  19. I read this too and thought it was a better version of the Enzo Ricky plan… instead of relying on one full back to invert they both do (I’m assuming one at any given time). Which makes it 1/2 as predictable or 2 x harder to defend!?
  20. Hate to be a pedant, but surely progression can be literally any shape you want other than a circle. The expression “going round in circles” is a lack of progress. I hate myself. I hate being this bored waiting for news. I apologise!!!
  21. The flexibility in formation was a feature of early Rodgers and early Maresca. Both abandoned that flexibility really quickly which I find absolutely baffling. Why have a toolbox full of screwdrivers when sometimes the problem requires a hammer??
  22. We just need to find the manager that makes this happen. I now won’t accept anything less!
  23. Gary O’Neil wouldn’t leave Wolves for Leicester
  24. Just in case Rudkin is trawling for ideas (which wouldn’t surprise me, the clueless clown) this is entirely a humorous post…. DO NOT MAKE IT YOUR VISION!!
  25. Different managers see and like different things…. Enzo made the man that couldn’t get a game for Rodgers his defensive first pick. Another manager may prioritise pace ahead of passing and Nelson goes straight in over JV. That’s why I think it’s foolish to sign anyone, however cheap, until the new man is in place - give him the maximum flexibility and choice with his budget. Personally, if I was manager, and I could only have one of Vestergaard or Nelson I’d pick Nelson
