  1. Wow, I’m really surprised that you saw that as 5/3/2…. I’m always impressed with your analysis and bow to your superior knowledge and effort to analyse. I’d got it down as a 5/4/1 at best, a 5/5 at worst!
  2. Palace will be in the bottom six. Your point, to me, reads… “We can’t possibly hope to win away at the might of CPFC, we should celebrate conceding our 2 goal lead to the inevitable onslaught of superior quality and be happy we scraped a point. Well played SC, 2 points from 4 games is a great return”. It smacks of the much derided, “we were once in League One you know” attitude. This level of acceptance is why we are stuck with Rudkin, Cooper, and to some extent King Power. It was a mistake to go ultra defensive, it’s a stupid tactic by a manager that’s either made a mistake (hopefully), or is inept
  3. It also rather depends on your definition of “worked”. If “worked” means: Surrender any hope of scoring or winning the game, abandon all threat of success and gift the opposition the impetus hoping to defend constantly and weather the self-imposed storm for long enough to draw…. Then yes it’s down to fine margins if it works or not. It’s a crazy way to play a game though!!
  4. “It nearly worked” Nope. It didn’t work. There are no nearly points awarded. It didn’t work, and for most people watching it was never going to work. The inevitable happened.
  5. There’s absolutely no entitlement being shown by fans that think we shouldn’t kowtow to Crystal Palace!! They are relegation candidates, if we can’t play to win against them then we stand no chance of staying up. This simpering acceptance of mediocrity doesn’t make you less entitled / more realistic it just means you’ve accepted relegation 4 games into the season.
  6. Interesting that they have 2/2 successful dribbles?? I saw him pick the ball up, put his head down and run with it (turned to my mate and said “he’s going to run straight into 3 players)… he miraculously skinned two of them and then ran into the third. Maybe I saw it wrong, but he definitely had the ball whilst dribbling then lost it
  7. I really think Cooper has made a mistake bringing on another CB, who’s hardly played, against a side that he’s conceded all possession and attacking intent to. It seems so obvious that he’s going to make a mistake in that horrible situation
  8. I’m astonished at how low the bar is for people defending Cooper. “we lost by one goal” as if that’s an achievement. I watched every game. He needs to release the handbrake and stop managing like he’s a League One manager playing Man City in the cup!
  9. Using this logic: We’re good enough, the job would be done (2 points from 4 games) so give him more time then we finish on 19 points and are relegated.
  10. Just too negative. Feels like the Rodger’s era when he suddenly decided we were great to watch and yanked on the handbrake
  11. I’ve been impressed with him, looks to be a real all-rounder of a midfielder
  12. It’s the 2024/25 season?? Or have I time travelled to this cesspit??
  13. You spelt “relegation candidates” wrong?
  14. Crikey. In the history of the Premier League this must surely be the worst transfer window, for any club, ever
  15. One of them is fun??
  16. It’s Ndidi for me, he offers absolutely nothing, the other two are miles ahead of him
  17. That’s the biggest worry isn’t it
  18. Another post that I can’t work out whether it’s sarcastic or serious
  19. Me too … I’ve deleted about 3 replies because I couldn’t decide!
  20. Looked like a fan competition winner yesterday, one of the worst displays he’s had in an increasingly long list of poor displays. Time for him to be dropped
  21. He’s played some pretty turgid, uninspiring football so far, and way too negatively set up. However… It’s commonly cited that the first job in management is to be defensively solid. I think he can put a tick in that box, we defend as a team and look solid. Now the next stage of becoming more attacking and a bigger goal threat has to be implemented. I’ve never been a huge fan of his appointment, but do think we have to give him 12 games
  22. Such a shame at so young an age. What a ray of sunshine and joy Sol was, a lovely guy that played football with passion and a smile. I loved belting out Sol Sol Bamba to an instant LCFC legend. Rest easy Sol xx
  23. Was it a Mr Cooper??
  24. Looks like he’s improving, he’s better than I initially feared. Should have challenged for their winner though, that was poor strength
