  1. So you’re telling me he wouldn’t do this to Nathan Jones
  2. I watched a bit of a Southampton podcast last night to get a sense of their situation, so much of what they said, was identical to what we’re going through right now. Ownership failings Poor recruitment(Not signing a proper number 9 their biggest issue) A lack of the right mentality and leadership in the playing squad In the cases of ourselves, Southampton and Norwich, I think we’re seeing what problems at board level can do to a club, constant mismanagement has finally caught up with those teams.
  3. 🤷‍♂️ I just want to see him turn into Pearson 2.0 and do this to Nathan Jones as we spank Charlton at home
  4. Bring me some Kevin Muscat.
  5. I will stick by my word in the summer, the work Will Still produced in France definitely earned him the right for a good Championship job. But after looking at the Southampton forum, quite a few saying he wasn’t the right personality to pick a relegated team off the floor. Maybe Cifuentes is falling into that bracket with us. Maybe the likes of us and Southampton desperately need a certain mentality, whether that comes in the form of experience, or someone who knows how to win things.
  6. Just like in the summer, I’m now preparing my essay on why we should appoint him
  7. All sounds very Leicester
  8. It’s alright being in the camp of “We can’t keep sacking managers”, but if there was some hope and glimpses of seeing Cifuentes potentially turn this around, then we wouldn’t need to be having conversations about potentially sacking him. At this moment in time he is making us progressively worse, there’s no need for me to keep bringing up statistics, because the eye test also tells us he can’t set up a team to attack or defend. I thought that was our worst defensive display of the season yesterday, it was like watching West Ham get battered 5-1 by Chelsea earlier this season, of course nowhere near the brutal scoreline, but seeing the defence and midfield chasing shadows, to the point where Blackburn fans started chanting “Ole” was embarrassing. We’re not the only team in the Championship who might have to change managers already. Liam Manning and Will Still are both on thin ice. West Brom fans are starting to get disgruntled with Ryan Mason. Cifuentes needs to show us something in the next two games, that Norwich game especially is massive. If we can’t even beat them with how diabolical their home form has been, then surely Marti’s position is untenable. Imo, he has two games to save himself.
  9. Ten injured, nine with life-threatening injuries This country is losing control by the week
  10. No, but why are the teams that usually dominate possession all started average to shit 🤔 You could easily hop onto a Southampton or Norwich forum right now, and the comments would be pretty much identical to many on Foxestalk today. The teams who get classed as playing tippy tappy football all seem to be experiencing problems.
  11. Leicester, West Brom, Norwich, Southampton and Sheff Utd all with over 60% possession in their games today, 0 wins between them. A lot of teams who sit in the top 8 of the possession charts this season have had average to shit starts. Nothing changes until Leicester wake up and get with the times.
  12. Don’t worry about that mate, my guys Will Still and Tom Cleverley will both be available tonight
  13. Crap manager + Crap players = Crap performances He can’t set up a team to attack or defend. Our attack has been crap all season, but from a defensive perspective, today was the worst I’ve seen us this season. No organisation, just a bunch of defenders running around like headless chickens and chasing shadows. I said yesterday that the next three games should determine Marti’s position, but after today, it wouldn’t bother me if he went tonight. But who would we turn to, Russell Martin? Gary O’Neil? No thanks. We badly need a Nigel Pearson 2.0, but fvck knows who that could be.
  14. I gave up my season ticket after the return from Covid, haven’t been motivated once to get myself back to the King Power, I’m not throwing money down the drain to watch our most unlikeable squad since 07-08. Maresca got us back on track, then we fvcked it, now years of mismanagement and poor recruitment is finally catching up with us. First time I mentioned about entering another 05-08 era was towards the end of last season. I think after today, we may have just entered another one.
  15. I wonder if Silko ever shopped at Wilko 🤔
  16. Fvck off Kristiansen and take your Boris Johnson hairstyle with you
  17. Past caring now tbh. You’ll feel less angry once you realise our squad depth is shite.
  18. 1 win, 2 draws, 2 losses since I said this with just Blackburn left, not good enough! At least 7 points from our next 3 games needs to be the aim, if we can’t manage to beat Blackburn and Norwich, then surely it might have to be goodbye in the next international break.
  19. In the Premier League last season, Counter Attacks and Fast Breaks played a huge part, unfortunately in Leicester’s case last season, we were one of the worst teams in the league in both categories. The talk this season though seems to have shifted to long balls, set pieces and long throws, but being direct in some way or other is seeing success. Coventry and Bristol City have started well by using direct speed. Charlton and Millwall have started well by getting the ball forward. I think what we’re seeing now is a mixture of a style choice and a symptom of our recruitment. We’ve seen a possession based pattern since the Puel days. Take the Maresca days for example with the signing of Harry Winks, he was a match made in heaven for what Maresca wanted to implement. The fanbase have become numb to a pedestrian possession based system, I can understand the calls for wanting to deviate away, and the way the style of play seems to be shifting in the past two season’s, as I’ve said many times on here… We need to get with the trends!
  20. Depends how you define “direct” nowadays. When people think direct, they instantly think long balls. What Crystal Palace are extremely good at is being fast and direct with their ball movement, they rank 1st in the Premier League for direct speed. Coventry have been very similar in the Championship, and it’s a big reason why they’ve been so successful so far this season. There’s definitely a shift in terms of how teams are operating, whether that’s through direct speed, or being direct through long balls. Leicester are still stuck in the pedestrian phase and it’s hindering us imo.
  21. Yep, I started to delve into Opta’s stats after the 1-1 draw against WBA, that’s when certain aspects of our performances began to annoy me. In all fairness, some of our pressing statistics have improved in recent games, we rank better for PPDA and high turnovers. Some posters don’t like xG and that’s fair enough, but from the eye test alone, our chance creation has evidently been poor, and it shows up in our statistics. For Fatawu to be leading our xG statistic(Just about squeezes onto Opta’s first page btw) with two defenders in Vestergaard and Ricardo sitting 2nd and 3rd is shambolic. Our xG and xGC statistics have barely improved for about 5-6 games now. The eye test shows Cifuentes badly needs to improve us both in attack and defence, and the statistics clearly show it too.
  22. It’s a massive shame that the relationship of the Celtic fans and board is so fractured, just scanning the Celtic forum and plenty of comments side with Rodgers. But as Leicester fans reading that statement, it would be no surprise if some of it is true. “Self-serving” sums Brendan Rodgers up, he acted in the same exact manner here. It’s about time someone threw him under a bus.
