Luke Thomas dropped
-
Surely we should be in the mix for this, Watford also linked with Soler from Bournemouth too.
-
Well the highlight of that was the return of the wasp. But that was ridiculous from Littler, it’s peak Phil Taylor quality.
-
Hopefully GVV can deliver again and make it competitive. Head says Littler will have a bit too much though, 7-4 Littler.
-
Excellent composure from GVV to shut those idiotic booers up.

Attacking stats possibly low for Ricardo and Choudhury because at times they’ve inverted. Ricardo ranks in the top 10 for interceptions and possessions won, but in terms of winning defensive duels, as I posted last night Luke Thomas is at 50%, Ricardo only slightly better at 57%. Maybe we can just about get through the season with Ricardo and Choudhury as our RB options, but as this is the Luke Thomas thread, he certainly needs binning
-
Kristiansen of course hasn’t played enough to get conclusive stats, but comparing Thomas to Choudhury and Ricardo, from an attacking sense, Choudhury is just as bad in some aspects. One stat that shocks me is how many crosses our full-backs produce… The attacking data of our three full-backs is alarmingly average to shit.
-
Per90 minutes, for successful attacking actions, Small and Fellows sit 1st and 2nd in the Championship, the likes of Doughty and Bola sit a respectable 13th and 15th. Luke Thomas for this statistic, 3rd worst in the Championship. To add a bit more fuel to the fire, Luke Thomas is the worst full-back in the Championship for dribbles attempted, and fourth worst for offensive duels. As you pointed out, he gives us nothing offensively or defensively. If we don’t replace him in January, then it will be just as much of a crime than giving him a bloody four year contract.
-
Statistically one of the worst full-backs in the Championship for winning his defensive duels.
-
Not surprised Van Veen won that, but a very surprising scoreline, Humphries fvcking up that third set was pivotal.
-
Crap manager, crap squad. This is years of mismanagement coming to the fore. In Marti’s case, his inability to set up a defence is infuriating. While going forward we just rely on individual brilliance. In terms of the squad, we have a bunch of defenders who don’t enjoy defending, we have no depth or physicality in central midfield and we have no natural goalscorer. Leicester City evidently needs major surgery, otherwise we’re going to slip into another 05-08 type era.

Down Thomas’s side again
-
Thank fvck for that, Mavididi has been a disgrace tonight
-
I’ll have the neighbours knocking on the door after shouting expletives at Luke Thomas
-
No gameplan, no physicality, no leadership. Every single player were a disgrace in that half, but I’m gonna single out Ricardo, it’s about time he showed some leadership qualities because I’m seeing fvck all leadership from him.
-
And surprise, surprise, it’s Luke Thomas who gets beaten in the air, so weak.
-
Well, that’s been coming hasn’t it
-
Calm down Joey Barton
-
Very encouraging 25 minutes Mavididi has turned into Josh Low and Silko Thomas is doing his best DJ Campbell offside impression.
-
Seen enough, bring on Ayew
-
Looking forward to watching a striker masterclass… From Tom Cannon and Patrick Bamford

Scotland’s Hogmanay > Ronan Keating and friends

Julian Carranza - returned to Feyenoord (official.)

Carranza out Piroe or Mayenda in on loan Would be too sensible for us wouldn’t it. -
As I responded in another post, I think Marti’s idea is wanting our wingers to be effective in 1 vs 1. He has clearly identified that our wingers along with JJ are our main attacking threats, but as you’ve pointed out and as I indicated in another post, our pace of play is evidently too slow, in a league which has become more fast & direct, we’re still stuck on the pedestrian side of things, it’s clearly hindering us. He won’t do it, but in certain games he should consider 4-3-3, take BDCR out for a more defensive minded midfielder, we have to solidify ourselves better defensively in some way or other. When you’re pushing Jordan James that far forward, you have to have better defensive cover to stop the possibility of transitions, as much as Oli Skipp has improved in recent games, I don’t think he can do that job all by himself, he isn’t an enforcer type like peak Wilfred Ndidi was, which as I stated earlier, we’re crying out for a player of that ilk. To have success, you need a strong leadership group imo, we’ve lost so many key leaders in recent years and not really replaced them. You look up and down our squad list, I personally wouldn’t give the armband to any of them, Choudhury getting the armband from time to time just shows how dire our leadership group is. I just feel our squad is also crying out for 1-2 leaders, getting in someone like Dan Neil on loan would be a sensible move.
