I’d also take a look at Israel Reyes(RB/RCB) - Club America 👍🏻
-
Right Backs - All depends how RVN wants to set us up. If he wants an attacking right back like how Justin operated yesterday, then… Joao Mario(Porto) - Martim Fernandes has broken through for Porto this season, seemingly becoming first choice RB, so Joao Mario could possibly be available for buy or loan. Arthur(Bayer Leverkusen) - Very much a bit part player for them, could possibly get him on loan. Tajon Buchanan(Inter) - Ric mentioned him the other day, decent shout tbf, can also play as a winger. Zakaria El Ouahdi(Genk) - Myself and Moore both mentioned him a few weeks back. Arguably been the standout RB in Belgium this season. Pablo Maffeo(Mallorca) - Would probably cost between £10-15 million, but his attacking statistics have been excellent this season. If the idea though is to go with a RB/RCB in a three when in possession, then… Rav Van den Berg(Boro) - Wanted him in the summer, want him even more now. Kevin MacAllister(Union SG) - Been one of the better defenders in Belgium over the past season since moving from Argentina. Would be my cheaper alternative to Van den Berg. Jeremiah St Juste(Sporting) - Ric hates this shout but I can see it potentially happening for a few reasons. Would add pace to the back line, but the red flag is that he’s injury prone. Wingers Seems RVN likes his wingers to chip in with defensive work, the only thing regarding that is you’re not overly spoilt for choice, especially someone of the ilk of Fatawu. Ernest Nuamah(Lyon) - He is probably the closest to Fatawu that I can think of. Needs to improve his decision making, but in terms of pace and work rate, he ticks the boxes. Gabriel Pec(La Galaxy) - After the season he’s had in the MLS, he’ll get many suitors imo. In terms of his G/A numbers, along with his dribbling ability, he also ticks a lot of boxes. His defensive numbers are also solid. Anis Hadj-Moussa(Feyenoord) - His defensive numbers are not as good as the two above, but with how he’s been performing this season, along with the fact he plays in the Eredivisie, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being our number one target.

Could happily go on a rant at how shit our recruitment has been over the years, but after today I cba. The only thing that needs to be said, is the fact that signing only one defender in the summer was yet another incompetent disgrace.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
kingfox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
What a difference two games make, he was deservingly getting praised for his in game management and substitutions against West Ham and Brighton, but today he got everything completely wrong. Really don’t know how to feel towards him, because what he has been given in terms of our squad, the majority of them are bang average or shit at Premier League level. -
In his last season at Montpellier, he wasn’t even starting ahead of Faitout Maouassa who is currently a free agent. He is nothing more than a Championship quality winger, who will have the odd good performance in the Premier League. It’s a shame our alternatives to him are all snails.

Littler vs Nebrida final anyone 🤔

Shit team selection, shit squad. Roll on Coventry and Derby next season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Rather have Wolves’ midfield and attackers over ours tbh. Two teams with crap defences, but in terms of ours, what can you do when they consistently make individual errors, they did it under Cooper, now the same thing under Ruud. This defence is as bad as 03/04 when we had the likes of Scimeca, Dabizas, Heath and Thatcher. -

Deserves criticism for his team selection today, but let’s be honest, he’s been dealt a bad hand with this squad who are largely Championship standard. -
Signing only one defender in the summer was disgraceful recruitment.
-
Kristiansen weak and Soumare back to sleeping. This squad is pathetic.
-
This defence gives me 03/04 season vibes.
-
Oh my fvcking days James Justin and Danny Ward, get in the fvcking bin.
-
Pathetic defending as usual
-
It’s about time one of your South American suggestions stuck 🤞🏻
-
Both @Ric Flair and @Tommy Fresh have mentioned him a couple of times over the past year. A centre back who is actually left footed, which we could do with needing. He is also ranked as the 2nd best centre back in the Argentinian League on the Wyscout rankings, so he must be doing something good this season 👍🏻
-
An injury prone defender with the pace of Usain Bolt, what’s not to love.
-
That set from Littler was just filth
-
If he can stay bloody fit, then I wouldn’t be surprised if we try for Jeremiah St Juste at Sporting Lisbon. Was linked to Leicester before he joined Sporting, would add some much needed pace to the defence, plus he’s Dutch 👍🏻
-
An attacking left-back option and as we have a Dutch manager… Anass Salah-Eddine - Twente

Those last two matches were brilliant entertainment, proving yet again why Darts is the best Sport in the World nowadays.

German Masters qualifiers tonight and Matt Selt has lost it…
-
That’s been pretty evident recently too, especially from our wide options now Fatawu is out. I’ve felt in all of Ruud’s games in charge that we’ve lacked ball-carrying outlets, that can help relieve pressure and get us up the pitch. Chakvetadze would give us that, but for sure we need someone of his ilk in January for the wings.
-
These two statistics just showcase how good he is for ball progression… I think Watford will do exactly what they did with Joao Pedro and Asprilla. Try and hold off until the summer transfer window, then cash in on Chakvetadze for about £20 million if they don’t get promoted. If we stay up and Watford fail to get promoted, he’ll be a strong candidate to replace Buonanotte.
-
My mother supports Watford and I have to say, I’ve fallen in love with Giorgi Chakvetadze this season. Adding more goals and assists is the only thing missing from his game. When it comes to ball-carrying ability he is an absolute joke, he is the best player in the Championship when it comes to that attribute. Watford have been very smart in recent months, giving the likes of Chakvetadze, Baah and Pollock new contracts knowing full well they’ll be worth 15-20 million in a year or two if they develop like they have been doing.
