  1. 100% win record
  2. Ruud has turned Patson Daka World Class in two days, @Finnegan has been waiting for this moment since 2021.
  3. Ruud is so good, he has turned Bobby Reid World Class in two days.
  4. This is the El Khannouss I have been craving to see
  5. Skipp on for Ndidi or Soumare is the most obvious substitution we’ll ever see.
  6. If Soumare was a Robot.
  7. Faes on the bench, but Mavididi still on the bench
  8. I’d be scanning Dutch/Eredivisie talent while you’re at it
  9. If Ruud is smart enough to use Mavididi in the same way he used Bakayoko at PSV, then Mavididi could become very crucial to us.
  10. Really hope we are brave in January and go for someone like this lad, so many interesting wingers coming through across Europe right now. Bazoumana Toure Hugo Bolin(Who you’ve mentioned) Sindre Walle Egeli Dario Osorio Aral Simsir Clement Bischoff Scandinavia is littered with them.
  11. Time to dip into the SCANDINAVIAN market again, this lad has been carving it up in Sweden…
  12. You’ve just made @Finnegan incredibly nauseous by posting that name, you should be ashamed.
  13. I take it you don’t fancy the idea of a Luuk De Jong resemblance up top
  14. If Ruud sticks to his PSV plan, then Edouard will be getting replaced by a big b*****d target man.
  15. I hope we get some answers throughout December because of course protecting that right side of defence is the biggest conundrum Ruud has to deal with. From an offensive standpoint I just feel we’d be far more exciting with both Buonanotte and El Khannouss in the team, but then as you say, from a defensive standpoint the right side could be left vulnerable again. He could well do a Maresca by inverting the RB, in our case atm this would have to be Choudhury. Use El Khannouss a little deeper out of possession, then have him push up as a 8/10 when in possession. Something like this… El Khannouss - Skipp/Winks McAteer - Buonanotte - Mavididi Vardy Turning into this when in possession… Choudhury - Skipp/Winks McAteer - Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Mavididi Vardy Then sign an inverted RB and a carbon copy of Fatawu in January.
  16. I’m expecting a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 turning into a 3-2-4-1 when in possession, exactly what he did at PSV in the second half of the season. Hermansen Justin - Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen Skipp - Ndidi Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Mavididi Vardy Turning into this when in possession… Hermansen Faes/Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen Skipp - Ndidi Justin - Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Mavididi Vardy If not the above, then we could well see the inverted full-back into midfield again, something like this… Hermansen Choudhury - Faes/Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen/Justin Skipp - Ndidi/Soumare Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Mavididi Vardy Turning into this when in possession… Hermansen Faes/Okoli - Vestergaard - Kristiansen/Justin Choudhury - Skipp Buonanotte - El Khannouss - Ndidi/Soumare - Mavididi Vardy Whatever the formation, we’re going to be left with a few problematic positions that require urgent attention in January.
  17. Was digging through PSV’s statistics while Ruud was there, three key elements stood out for me on what he could potentially bring to Leicester City… 1) All of PSV’s defenders ranked highly for successful passes, successful forward passes, successful passes to final third and successful progressive passes. Playing out from the back could be just as important as we saw under Maresca, especially as Ruud said his own philosophies have similarities to Enzo. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see the return of the inverted full-back into central midfield scenario again, he used it at PSV, while they still have two players on their books in Richard Ledezma and Mauro Junior who can operate that role, could we see one of them rock up at the KP in January 🤔 2) Wingers. From what he played at PSV he seems to like one technical winger capable of drifting in as a 10, while the other winger provides the pace and 1 vs 1 ability. This would be absolutely perfect for Buonanotte to play RW and Mavididi to play LW. Ideally we need a replacement for Fatawu in January, but it very much has to be a winger capable of excelling in 1 vs 1 situations. 3) Striker. He had Luuk de Jong at PSV, albeit a Premier League reject, he had a pretty successful season under Ruud. One thing that stood out for me though was his aerial statistics, he was one of the best strikers in the Eredivisie when it came to battling aerial duels. If we are to get a striker in January, it could well be someone in the mould of a target man who excels in the air. Breaking it down, it feels like 4-5 signings are an absolute must in January. 1 RB - Either an attacking RB or someone who can invert into a back three or in midfield. 1 LB - Personally I feel this needs to be someone capable of inverting, either as a CB or in midfield. 1 WG - Someone with pace who excels in 1 vs 1. 1 ST - Possibly a target man who is good in aerial duels. The potential 5th signing would be a RCB for me, all depending on Faes’s form through December.
  18. Go back to Genk for Zakaria El Ouahdi as new RB
  19. Pretty much a 1am finish, but thank god Barry won Mark Allen has gone from one of my favourite players to one of my least favourite, too much painfully slow Snooker from him recently, would’ve been a travesty if he had won tonight.
  20. Said before the season started that elements of this team just fvcking suck. Was quite surprised to see some posters were adamant that this squad was strong enough to comfortably stay up. Back in August this team was giving me strong Sheffield United of last season vibes, we are now on the brink of December and as I said on here the other week, this team currently gives me vibes of our 01/02 and 03/04 seasons. Our defence and midfielders are just so unlikeable, this defence is easily comparable to when we had the likes of Scimeca, Heath, Thatcher and Dabizas. Van Nistelrooy needs to be a miracle worker, if it doesn’t work out, then I’ll be pointing my finger to the recruitment team. To go from the likes of Morgan, Huth, Wasilewski, Simpson, Fuchs, then Maguire, Evans, Fofana to having to watch the likes of Wout Faes shows exactly how far we’ve fallen. Mini rant over.
  21. The two biggest mysteries in life. 1) Russell Martin bagging Lucy Pinder. 2) Wout Faes starting for Belgium.
  22. Saw a fox chilling in my back garden this morning, good omen. 1-0 smash and grab, Luke Thomas with a 25 yard screamer 🔮
  23. Welcome Ruud 🇳🇱 He’ll perch on my TV until he’s sacked.
  24. If there is to be similarities with his PSV system, then that could benefit Mavididi especially in a number of ways, if Ruud uses him like he used Bakayoko at PSV, then Mavididi is going to become a crucial player for us, even more so now Fatawu is out. As I said already regarding Xavi Simons role at PSV, along with Guus Till too who in the second half of the season was very much used as an ‘8’ in a 4-3-3 or the ‘10’ in a 4-2-3-1, either of those roles would suit Buonanotte and El Khannouss perfectly. The only concern I have is with the defence and how he may operate certain players. Justin of course is capable of doing the inverted CB role or the bombing full-back role, despite his form being a bit rough this season, we need him to stay fit until we get to January. He could well use either Faes or Okoli as an inverted centre back too, but once January comes around, if we are to see similarities to his PSV setup, a new inverted centre back and a new full-back already seem priority positions imo.
