Not every signing needs to improve our first XI, we fully expect Mavididi and Fatawu to be our first choice wide options next season, but depth in the wing position was actually needed last season, we’re in desperate need to address it this season. De Cordova-Reid helps massively with that, if we can also get in some competition for Mavididi, then that’ll be our wide areas sorted 👍🏻

I’m getting the Pac-Man logo on a sippy cup vibes.

We’ve been crying out for squad depth in the wide areas, so really don’t get the negativity from some moaners. Not every signing is going to be of regular starting calibre, you way up our squad, ideally we need 3-4 signings of regular starting calibre, then about another 3-4 that will add depth, the wing being one of those depth areas. De Cordova-Reid as competition for Fatawu, with the ability to also play RB or RWB seems rather sensible to me.

Let’s be honest, like we saw last season with Coady & Winks, experienced signings are needed and will happen. He has Premier League experience, versatile and he’s a free transfer. I’d take a couple of signings like this, but I just hope we don’t over bloat the squad with signings of this profile.

Of course we could be totally wrong, but I was thinking the exact same thing. It’s a little bit strange that he comes from the same agency as Cooper. If you also look at that agency, they have a couple of players that Cooper had at Forest. I wouldn’t be that surprised if a couple more CAA Base players follow Okoli through the door. We’ve seen similar things happen with CAA Stellar and especially Wasserman.

Waking up to see Liz Truss and Jacob Rees-Mogg have lost their seats

There were many defensive clips showing his physical presence, he is a player that clearly has the ability to dominate duels, the guy is an absolute unit. But there were also many clips of him looking quite unsure with his defending. If he turns up at Leicester and defends like he did at Frosinone, then he’s going to be a total mixture of a player.
-
What do you expect from a city that idolised Lee Cattermole for 11 years.
-
After going through his defensive work from last season, these back to back clips against Fiorentina sum him up perfectly. In Leicester City terms he is like a mixture of Wes Morgan and Daniel Amartey...
-
Just made a start on watching his defensive duels from last season 😩 But if he can go through players like this on a weekly basis, then I’m all for him(RIP George Weah’s son) 💪

Typical attitude from Dart tbh, she has previous, she threw a right tantrum in their match at Nottingham the other week.
-
Cooper has played 3-4-3 on a few occasions both at Swansea and Forest, but when he’s mainly gone for three at the back, it’s either been 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2. If he doesn’t go 3-4-3, then Mavididi up front and Fatawu as a wing-back actually looks plausible 😕

FFS Katie 🤦♂️ Now we got to put up with that stroppy annoying twat for at least another round.

Fire up the CAA Base client list #WelcomeDjedSpence

Few more stats courtesy of Wyscout... Defensive Duels Won - 67.73% Interceptions - 192(Ranks 6th in this statistic) Aerial Duels Won - 52.44% Shots Blocked - 30(Ranks 1st in this statistic) And as a few others have touched on, he played a mixture of RCB and LCB last season 👍🏻

Winnable match imo, as you said Raducanu has beaten her before, plus Sakkari has been in dodgy form lately. If she can get past Sakkari, then she’ll be playing a non seed in R4.
-
Seems Gómez might be off to River Plate. Seen you mention Saldivia before, I just feel we need someone with a bit more credibility tbh mate, someone that would be capable of going straight into the starting 11.
-
Last time I checked, his name had disappeared from the out of contract in 2024 list, seems he signed a new deal a few months back. Nicolas Valentini is probably more gettable from Boca.
-
Of course a lot will also depend on if Cooper goes for two or three centre backs. As they always say, you need two players each position, but when it comes to centre backs it’s probably best to have five in case of injuries. With the rumours we’ve seen, apart from Gabriel Pereira, I think the rest of the centre backs we’ve been linked with have been left footed. From what I’ve seen of Nathan Zeze, personally I don’t think he’s ready mate. He got a run in the Nantes team under Jocelyn Gourvennec, I saw him against Reims in January where he had a decent performance, but apart from that I thought he looked pretty average defensively. Antoine Kombouare then returned as manager in March and dropped Zeze from the get go, the last time I saw him he got torn to shreds by Lyon. He then started the last two games of the season, one of which was a 4-0 defeat to Monaco. There’s a cluster of defenders under 20 in Ligue 1 that are better than him at this moment in time imo. As for other possibilities, I’ve mentioned Konstantinos Koulierakis and Lorenzo Pirola in the past, but yet again, are they good enough to be regular starters in the Premier League at this moment in time, possibly not. Whatever the case though, as you said yourself, we need a centre back with pace.

Came across Matsuki a while back mate, think I mentioned him on that “We must sign a Japanese player” thread that someone created I very much agree he’ll end up in Europe sooner rather than later, but no doubt it will either be Belgium or Holland
-
Both Theate and Greaves potentially going elsewhere 😬 Ideally we need a starting LCB, that position is becoming a head scratcher unless we go for David Carmo.
-
Or if you get bored with that one @VinceNoir Wawrinka vs Monfils rolling back the years could be a fun one 👍🏻
-
Sinner vs Berrettini which has just started 🍿 Hopefully it lives up to the billing 👍🏻
-
Impressive performance from Raducanu, in the zone type Tennis. Hopefully she can back it up, because her section of the draw is nothing to fear.
