  1. So, let me get this right - the source for this is "Footballinsider247". 😂😂😂 Literally some dudes writing stuff while sitting in their parents' spare bedrooms.
  2. Only if it barks/meows/screeches in Dutch.
  3. Carsley's excellent with young players and developing players in general. Also great at coaching technical aspects of the game - how to do things better etc. But tactically, I don't think anyone can say whether he is any good. Simply not enough of a body of work. With England, he chopped and changed and tried different things. Nothing wrong with that, but he clearly doesn't have a philosophy that he swears by. And that's partly what makes him such an excellent technical coach for the training pitch. Tell him what to teach the players and he will do a great job.
  4. I've no idea where this is coming from and why anyone in their right mind would think this? Never loved? I beg to disagree. We only started to fall out of love during the summer of his petulant comments – then the idiotic and petty decisions re. who to play and where (and who to leave out). By the time he finally got sacked, he was hated – but only through his own actions, which seemed to suggest he wanted us to go down just to prove a point.
  5. And that's the point, isn't it. People who reach the top of their field need to have the drive to not being happy with that. Perhaps Potter is happy with his lot. And let's be clear - there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! Life should be something you enjoy.
  6. Not sure why Carsley is in the equation. He is all about developing young players, hates the limelight and isn't great at setting teams up from a tactical point of view. Trying to get our squad to battle for points in each game and the amount of media work required would probably be his worst nightmare.
  7. Ruud in. Rudkin out. Has a ring to it.
  8. I like it, to be honest. It hasn't looked like the players have exactly enjoyed the experience under Cooper. Now that's Cooper's out, it's a clean slate. At least it looks like the players are happy together, so there is hope. C'mon City.
  9. Might be just in time. If the new gaffer arrives soon, he will have a few weeks to assess the squad and then use the January window to (hopefully) plug some gaps.
  10. Shot to goals success rate – 100%. Cooper masterclass.
  11. We'd be top of the table with better refereeing. Oh....and if we didn't have Cooper and did have some better players. Lots of better players.
  12. I think I'm slowly giving up on the Premier League. What's the bloody point when you have refereeing like that.
  13. Why have we left that curly-haired idiot waltz into a great position to put the ball in the box so easily? Was it because Justin was having a bit of a lie-down?
  14. Of course he is. You're right. International break makes me forget things.
  15. Cole Palmer has one of those faces. Like it had caught fire and someone tried to put it out with a housebrick.
  16. Goodnight and Mav need to come on.
  17. Granted, it's not a great term. But you know what it means - a team is not expected to get anything from a game, so any points earned would be an unexpexted bonus. And I agree that, for us, today's game is one.
  18. It is a free hit now. They're miles ahead of us. Which is ironic, as when Enzo first went over there, some geniuses here thought he'd be sacked by now. Simply don't get why people can't see or accept that he is a very, very capable coach. Also proving his worth as a manager at Chelsea, in a high-pressure environment.
  19. I don't think any of the bottom three will get more than 33 points.
  20. Mate, you're both spot on and are contradicting yourself massively there. You were the better team for large parts of the game. But at this level, that doesn't count for anything. This isn't League One or the Championship. Phillips (a wildly over-rated player with a mere 70-odd Premier League games) did some Phillips things and let us back in. Ayew, who has played 280+ Premier League games came across Burgess, who – with what, 3 games in the top flight – clearly isn't a Premier League player. He took advantage and scored. You could've won. But you didn't. And, ultimately, today's result might just decide which of us two stays up. Welcome to the big leagues, pal. We've suffered too, so we feel your pain.
  21. I didn't until today. Gifted us a point and made sure there's still a 5-point gap between us and the team he plays for. #Leg #End #Thanks
  22. Please don't insult my intelligence. No, I haven't "just started watching football". And yes, we are in a half decent position. Probably in a better position than we deserve to be. My argument is that anyone saying that we are now safe would be the one who has "just started watching football". You absolute numpty.
  23. Are you seriously saying that, as of today, we are safe and there is 0% chance that we will be relegated?
