Bournemouth (H) Pre match thread (05.10.24, 3pm)
HitchinFox replied to Nolucklcfc's topic in Leicester City Forum
The title saying this game will take place on 5 December confuses me. -
I can't figure out whether you're being serious or not saying that. Because the rest of the post makes sense - this squad is definitely good enough to stay up (under the right manager).

Exactly. "We look solid in defence under Cooper". -

Whoever said Cooper has made our defence look solid...😂 Embarrassing to concede from a "cross" like that. -
I've got Saka as my fantasy captain today. VK won't know the way back to the dressing room by the time Saka is finished with him.
-
Never in doubt.
-
Cooper must have an inkling that this isn't great.
-
Cooper masterclass - make sure the two attacking players who actually have played together aren't on the pitch at the same time.

This is more painful than trying to watch porn on a dial-up connection.
-
Great half, we're still in this.
-
Odds on the club making a t-shirt featuring a picture of Ward making that save? Ah, sorry. Forgot we're not Leeds.

Because the person in charge of loans isn't terribly bright, to the point of being incapable of working out the complexities of wearing a face mask correctly.* * Yes yes, I don't know for sure it's Rudkin that is in charge of loans and blah blah blah, but in my mind he's the reason for everything that goes wrong, including me stepping in a massive puddle this morning when getting out of my car.

2-2 Palace, A Post Match Thread

Typical. Predictable. Leicester. So frustrating, as we all knew it was coming. -
Me too. Either he sees what's going on and refuses to act, which is awful. Or doesn't see it, which is even worse.

Ffs.

Ayew's legs/engine has gone. Needs to come off.

He said it was from 2021-22, so I went with this: https://www.lcfc.com/news/2214051/leicester-city-squad-numbers-confirmed-for-202122?lang=en But yeah, good point about FBS. I can't remember which season we had which sponsor, you could well be right and it wasn't 21-22 at all. EDIT: I say that - and the page I refer to has a picture of players wearing FBS-sponsored shirts.

A mate of mine got me a Leicester training top as a gesture of appreciation - did him a favour a while ago. He got it from a website that sells genuine bits and he thought he'd go for a "player issue" one. He didn't get to choose whose top it was, it just said it was from the 2021-22 season. He gave it to me today. Lovely gesture, really appreciated it. Off the top of my head I couldn't remember who was number 12 that season. Wish I hadn't checked.

If the owners/directors of any company are doing their jobs properly, they will always have replacements in mind for all key roles of the business. Just in case people leave or fail to perform. No different at a football club. I Really hope there is work being done to identify and prepare for Cooper's replacement. Don't get me wrong, we're heading into a crucial period of our season and if he gets results (ie. points), he will buy himself time and can even secure his medium-term future. But if anyone at the club thinks that what they've seen so far is enough to convince them that Cooper is the man to keep us up, then we could be in serious trouble. Failing to act like we did with Rodgers should still be fresh in the mind of everyone in that leadership team.
